Unfortunately, our stay at Hotel Labelle was disappointing and did not meet the expectations created by the listing on Booking.com.

The most serious issue was the condition of the bathroom. There was extensive visible mold, which created an unsanitary environment and was not acceptable for a paid accommodation. In addition, construction work in the surrounding area started very early every morning, around 6:00 AM, causing significant noise and disturbing our sleep throughout our stay. There was no clear warning in the hotel description about the ongoing construction or the expected level of noise. Had this information been disclosed in advance, we would not have selected this property.

The building and hotel setup were also different from what we expected. Hotel Labelle occupies only one floor of an older multi-floor commercial building, so the atmosphere does not feel like a traditional hotel. It feels more like staying in a few converted rooms inside an office/residential building rather than a complete hotel facility.

The elevator was another concern. It was an old model, frequently not working properly, and the door did not always close or operate in a way that felt safe. This was especially inconvenient when carrying luggage.

A gem of a find in Central Rome.
Pros:

We had a fantastic quadruple / family room - very spacious and extremely clean. Lovely old building - clean and well-maintained. Lovely features ... tiled and terazzo floors. Great facilities - toiletries, tea/coffee, kettle and fridge. Fantastic location - so near to the Colosseum and Forum. 30 mins maximum walk to Ara Pacis, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain. Our room overlooked the Forum. The staff were so personable and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. This was such a reasonably priced stay for the location - had everything we needed for visiting sites. The hotel takes up one floor of a nice apartment block - felt very safe, well-maintained. Beds are extremely comfy. There are no food / bar services which is not a problem at all - there are plenty of restaurants downstairs which serve throughout the day, including breakfast. This hotel is an absolute gem. Heartily recommended.

Great location, comfortable rooms and great hosts.
Pros:

Great location and very lovely host. We arrived early expecting to just drop our bags and return a few hours later but Jade kindly upgraded our room so that we didn’t have to wait. This hotel is in a fantastic location just off the via dei Fori Imperiale so just a few minutes walk from the Coliseum and many other historic sites. In a great lively street but the rooms were very quiet. The hotel is on a higher floor of the building with a lift. This is a family run hotel and the care and attention given was fabulous. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Pros:

Location to historical areas was fabulous. Staff were friendly and helpful, when I was disorientated on arrival, they came out looking for me. They occupy the whole 3rd floor of apartment building, and it’s great they have a lift! They even organised and booked a taxi( though I felt it was a private driver) for the airport at a good rate. The room and ensuite was perfect for myself travelling on my own, not huge but it was just right for me! Brilliant air conditioning and it’s a good brand, well known in Australia. It was still great to be able to open the window and see so much history outside plus the fresh air in the cooler times. A good and vibrant street to be in for various dining, delis, tourists supplies, The Roman Forum next street over, Colosseum 5 minute walk and it’s brand new Metro stop too, shopping inc great jewellery and op shop in next street.

Cons:

My room that I was in, could have more sound proofing ( thicker curtains maybe on main window, and wall hangings to help absorb internal noises) as I could always hear doors opening and closing and furniture move on the floor. Of course, the Irish Pub was very busy over Football World Cup and they liked to stay up late. I should have just bought some earplugs, but it was just for 3 nights.

Pros:

A localização é perfeita! Vista para o Fórum Romano e a facilidade de fazer tudo à pé: Coliseu a 5 minutos e Fontana de Trevi a 10 minutos. Funcionários super atenciosos e acolhedores. Já estive várias vezes em Roma e esse é um hotel para se voltar.

Foi tudo perfeito.
