Great unique hotel
Pros:

Very unique hotel, super friendly and helpful staff, and best of all a real live cat!

Cons:

Shared bathrooms take a little planning for showers, and sometimes requires going to a diffrent floor if its occupied.

Quirky, filled essential needs and well-located. Just don't expect a Holiday Inn!
Pros:

The location was great - not too close to all of the noise but not too far of a walk from key tourist areas. I booked for the World Cup Final weekend a year in advance, and unlike other hotels in other cities during the World Cup, they didn't cancel in an attempt to price gauge.

It's a very quirky hotel - the photos show this a bit but it's only on arrival you realise just how quirky. Initially, I wasn't as sure about this being a positive. My first reaction when arriving was "what have I got myself into?", which I can't imagine is uncommon for other guests too. However, I started to appreciate the uniqueness and artwork a bit more during my stay, and even chatted to the owner Andrew on my checkout which gave much more context behind the concept.

Cons:

Not the hotels fault, more NYC's fault, but even in the quieter area there's sirens and horns honking 24/7 loud enough to wake you up multiple times in the night.

If I was to find a criticism, although I recognise I paid a very cheap price given location and the World Cup final being on, I would love to have seen a bit more upkeep in some of the rooms beyond the artwork. I looked at a few rooms before deciding on one, the sinks in 2 of the rooms visibily needed replacing or some kind of upkeep. A few floors in the hallways felt a bit lopsided - relatively minor things but just honest feedback.

Amazing value for location in NYC, felt like home

O hotel, a despeito de se dizer que tem memória artística, está com a preservação abandonada. Os quartos não foram higienizados nenhum dia durante minha estadia de 4 dias, o mesmo aconteceu com os banheiros compartilhados, permaneceram sujos todo o tempo em que lá estivemos.

Hotel original et tres bien place - une vraie experience
Pros:

L'hotel est tres original avec un tres bon rapport qualite prix. Au lieu d'imiter les hotels classiques en offrant un service decevant pour garder des prix, le lieu se differencie par ses decors, son service et son emplacement. Beaucoup de restaurants et bars sympa a proximite.

Cons:

Il faut etre conscient que l'hotel n'est pas situe dans un endroit calme. La proprete pourrait etre amelioree. Les draps ne sont pas non plus de premiere jeunesse. Pas de petit dejeuner inclus.

Dormir au milieu des œuvres d'art à New York, une expérience géniale et unique à faire !
Pros:

L'ambiance est incroyable, c'est un vrai musée vivant. Chaque couloir et chaque chambre a son propre style. Pouvoir tomber sur des œuvres de Banksy et de plein d'autres artistes juste en allant prendre une douche, c'est magique. L'hôtel a une vraie âme et une vraie histoire, ça change tellement des chaînes d'hôtels impersonnelles et sans intérêt. Si vous aimez le street art et l'ambiance un peu underground, c'est vraiment l'adresse parfaite à New York.
Les membres de l’hôtel sont des personnes d’une grande richesse d’âme, d’une générosité sans commune mesure, en adéquation parfaite le lieux mythique.

Good for one night in a central location but ensure you’re expected.
Pros:

The location was very much as described, smack dab in the middle of it all. Art deco bedroom.

Cons:

Told me I could check in late as arranged prior by email then when I arrived I was locked out, no code for entry provided before hand and had to depend on the kindness of a stranger for a phone call to them as my services were disconnected. They weren’t answering the doorbell where I stood for 20 mins.

Ancient bathroom, but very serviceable room overall

The cat was cool. Very nice! Good receptionist. Serviceable room with unique theme.

Cons:

Place was ancient. Everything is outdated and gives the look of dirtiness especially the bathroom. No microwave or fridge.

Good value room in the centre of Manhattan. A few nice bars nearby.

A TV would be an addition. There isn't a lift in this hotel, but I would stay again because of the price.
