overall very good experience. Its a low cost but high value. The added advantage is availability of quality food inside
Very dirty property, stains mismatching stuff non working shower curtain no shower head, mattress felt like bricks
Untidy hotel. No room service or house keeping. Rude staff.
average
Egyptian cotton sheets were well worn and lots of stains as were the towels. Shower floods the floor, which never dries out (was flooded on arrival too).
Large TV with cable channels not working. Door to the balcony, adjacent to neighbouring balconies could not be secured as the lock was on the outside of the door (incorrect for was fitted).
Staff seemed polite, but unable to remedy any of the issues (story was that the boss is unavailable, or that the repair man wouldn't attend site).
Survived through it, but would not recommend anyone staying here until major overhaul.
Property conveniently located close to Patong beach & bangala road, however rooms were outdated, tv in room doesnt work & asking hotel management to fix it didnt get any response, there is no resturant in the property so all ypur food needs to be arranged outside property. Electricity went out one day for a whole 6 hours which was no pleasent
No window, airco is horrible (making sounds at night, and water/ice is coming out of it, and after a few nights I was already sick), dirty towels and besheets, and very rude staff. No greetings, and when we went down to complain about the situation, they shouted at us and were not willing to help.
Hotel is like dharamshala what to talk of hotel so dirty foul smell dogs are wondering staff is unincorporated No ventilation dirty bed sheets and towels no restaurant inside .Cockroaches are there no intercom facility it is zero star.I will suggest that nobody should opt this hotel.
They ripped off my nine-year-old and I when we booked for the Hanuman zip line adventure. When we got to the adventure they asked us if we received our 50% discount for booking but the hotel staff ladies charged us 100%
I stayed here for 1 day and the receptionist at the desk seems to be the owner welcomed us in a very hostile manner. We went quite early there before our check in time and she was angry even when we asked politely for early check in. She replied its full. They didnt even bother to switch on the fan at the reception. Hell...living hell this place is...they are very much biased. She provided the room at sharp 2'o clock. Its their hotel policy...ufff such policy creator and deaf dumb follower. The electric kettle was stinking and dirty with jelly like things. Further, she took 1000 baht deposit which is nowhere mentioned on the booking website. As mentioned in most of the reviews, bathroom curtain is justed pasted on the wall and they can fall at any time. You will find a big garbage box just in front of hotel which makes your view wonderful..lolz.. She had provided me a sofa as bed for 3rd person although I booked for 3 adults and paid in full for 3 persons. I am pure vegetarian and asked for veg fried rice without egg if she could provide. They noded and provided me rice with egg which I was unabled to judge at that time and ate them. But, when I saw the same dish at some other place , I realized the things they had done with me. Believe me, if they were in India, they would all in prison. I stayed at Thailand for 10 days but never had such a painful stay anywhere and such hostile accommodation. This is the cheapest accommodation I booked on my Thai trip and was the worst. Its too far from the market and is located in some stinking streets. They are very much biased towards our etinicity. Infact, if someone can provide the reference of owners of this hotel, I will be thankful to him. Please provide.
This hotel was really reasonably priced - we had to book it at the last moment when a booking we had already made fell through. We stayed in an economy room - note that these rooms whilst clean and well-serviced do not have windows. I thought that would annoy us but it didn't in fact I think we probably slept better not having the street noise as Phuket is a very busy place with constant traffic. For me the staff were a highlight of the trip. If you make a little effort with them they return it tenfold. I also loved the owner's dogs, Tingga and Bella. The beds are a little hard though this didn't bother us which is odd because it normally would and the sheets aren't changed daily. That didn't bother me because I don't think it's necessary but I did like having clean towels each day. The hotel is about 15 minutes from Patong Beach by transport and we had to go there because my partner and I got some dental work done. At first we took a tuk-tuk but after a while we did like the locals and just hired a scooter which was much cheaper. You can also get a motorbike taxi for 100 Bht, tuk-tuk for $200 Bht.
Clean room, comfy bed, good air, friendly staff, handy shop next door, convenient taxis across the road, good shower, water to basin leaking and faulty, shower leaks water into floor so watch what you leave in floor, good breaky, good value about 15 to 20 minute walk to Patong beach, town. There are places within 50metres either way for laundry if you need it, about 50baht per pound. You can book tours and prices were better than brochures for me.
I would not recommend this hotel for travellers. It takes more than 25 mins to walk from any tourist attractions, especially bad if you have a night out, tired and want to get to bed as soon as you can, but realised that you have to either get the motorbike which is hard to get in the middle of the night or walk 25 mins which was really bad.
The staff is not so friendly. They hardly smile or greet the guests. The room was cleaned daily, fresh towels were provided but bed-sheet was not changed for a single time during my 5 days stay. The food at the hotel's restaurant was also not so good. The distance between Patong beach and hotel is not much which is the only thing good about this place.
My friend and I booked the twin room. We didn't expect much as we didn't pay much as well, but once we reached the hotel, the room was good. It was pretty big, it has 2 twin beds and a sofa in the room, a TV if you like to watch, complimentary waters, coffee and tea, small fridge and a bathtub in the bathroom. The toiletries weren't complete, but they gave us 2 small and big towels. Everything's fine, just that when you showered, the water leaked. It will wet the whole bathroom, even though you already closed the curtain shower.
The location is not that bad. There is 7 eleven just right beside the hotel and a food cart that always stay there until 9-10pm incase you wanna get a supper. A few blocks away from the hotel, there are food stall too! The Thai food stall sells good non-spicy tom yum and fresh coconuts. It wasn't exactly in the Patong center area, but it's walking distance. You won't feel how far it is, when you get to see so may new things and food laying everywhere :)
If you don't fancy walking, they also have a motorbike rent, but I suggest to book a day before. We've asked for rent once, but they didn't have more bikes.
The staffs were alright, we didn't get to talk to them so much, but they will greet us every time we come and pass by the receptionist area.
Definitely a not bad budget hotel :)
We found this to be one of the cheapest places to stay at in Phuket. And because it's so cheap, you accept a lot of the shortcomings. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. However, the location is quite unsightly, and every now and then there's a foul smell in the air. The hotel is conveniently located next to bangla and Phuket beach,
Hey guys just want to explain a bit about my experience at this hotel a week ago.
First, don't look at the rating that i gave for this hotel. It's not represent how good or bad it is,it just telling me my very disappointing story so that you guys not doing the same mistake.
Check-in : It was nice, staff were friendly and greet us properly. Just formality.
Room : Bed room was really huge, for a family of 3,it was more than enough for us to put our luggage anywhere we want. Bed was neat and clean, desk not dusty, and got good range of tv channels if u really care ab it.
Shower : At first glance, it was white-clean, no cracks on the floor, no spider webs on the ceiling, it was superb. But, here's when unwanted things happened. As i try to use the bath tub and pulling the shower curtain to cover, the pole for the curtain suddenly fall off.. I thought i broke it at first, but when i looked at it, nothing broke nor bent. Turned out they just stick the pole with double tape / glue to the wall, not planted with bolt or anything. I asked a housekeeper to fix it out when i went out in the morning, and when i got back, she just did the same thing as before, sticking it with double tape. But this thing was just a small thing that i won't bother to budge. Just be careful when u open that shower curtain.
Service : And now, the dissapointment. We stayed there for 2 days so every piece of event is meaningful to us for this trip. So we plan everything out with what to do and where to go and book a Simon Carbaret Show just when we arrive on day 1 (around 8pm) for tomorrow show . The staff in reception greatly appreciate us to come for the hotel service to book the show and said she's gonna book us up tomorrow early in the morning. And second day, we went out in the morning around 9,asking
me : Have u book it for us for tonight's show?
she : Not yet, my friend will book it for you, let's just wait for her (i guess her friend is the one who manage this thing and can do the internet tic-tac for bookings)
me : Okay, I'll get breakfast first while waiting for her.
----------------30 mins later - - - - - - - - - - - - -
me : Ok can we book now?
girl 1 : she's not here yet. But don't worry i will book it for you for 7.30pm show, then u can pay us later after u came back.
me : ok so i pay later u book for me then? Are u sure we will still have space for tonight's if u delay like this?
girl 1 : yes yes of course! definitely i can assure you that u will get the ticket!
me : alright then, thanks
--------------came back to hotel at 5pm-----------
me : hi, so can we get our tickets for the show? what time the tuktuk gonna pick us up?
girl 1 : oh yea i haven't got your name for booking (which was silly cus she know my name because they have information from our copied passport). I haven't book it for u.
me : what really?
girl 1 : yea yea don't worry u'll still get it for sure! no problem just wait now (then she called for "that girl who manage the booking")
girl 2 : talking thai to somebody...
girl 2 : SORRY THE BOOKING FOR ALL TONIGHT'S SHOW ARE FULLY BOOKED!!
me and my fam : what the helllllllllll!!!!! (that's what we shout secretly)
girl 1 : (stay silent playing with her computer pretending not listening to the conversation)
me : are u sure there's not even 3 tickets left for any tonight show? even the 9pm one?
girl 2 : sorry no, they're all fully booked. But i can book u for tomorrow if u want.
me : tomorrow we leaving very early in the morning!
girl 2 : yeah sorry ab that.
girl 1 : (not even a word or eye contact she made to us anymore)
ok then that's what happened. We were really expecting this show as it's one of the highlights of our phuket trip, but that's what happen. Very very poor customer service leave me and fam so dissapointed with this hotel, thus the rating. If only their service for customer satisfaction is as good as their room,it would be a 5 star for a budget hotel. But this is rubbish and u guys should NEVER EVER BOOK ANYTHING THROUGH FOREST PATONG HOTEL. Just find any travel agent or book it online.
This establishment is absolutely terrible. The staff is completely rude and off putting. Not once do they check on you when you are eating there. Every time you need something (a menu, to order, the check) you must go in and search for someone. The sheets had blood stains on them, the shower curtain had a bandaid stuck to it, and halfway thru our stay the hot water stopped working. It's a very cheap place to stay and now I understand why. Find somewhere else! I can't express to you enough how unwelcome the staff makes you feel.
We were moved to this hotel because apparently the one we've booked was full. The room we got had no windows and it felt like a grave. The bathroom was dirty, the towels were in a bad shape, as you can see from my pictures. The staff was really rude and not willing to cooperate.
Ohh, almost forgot the most import thing: the NEIGHBORHOOD was baad, 25 minutes to the civilization, it smelled like garbage everywhere, it was a slum.
Overall, it felt like a bad dream, we slept there for 1 night and left the next day.
Highly not recommended!
Stayed there on two occasions with an interval of two weeks. Great service from the staff, who were kind enough to hold on to my passport that I forgot at the reception at my departure.
Good motorbikes rental as well, and an accommodating staff.
