My husband and I stayed for our 10th wedding anniversary and had the most amazing time. The team on reception were very welcoming and Paul and Nick went the extra mile to ensure our stay was special. Thank you! We spent some time in Cakes and Bubbles, which we would highly recommend. Roy was lovely, and the food and drinks we had were absolutwly delicious. We also spent some time in Akasha, the spa, which was a real highlight. Whilst we were there as a couple, we'd absolutely recommend the hotel to families as it seemed very family friendly. We'll definitely be visiting again!

Recently, my partner surprised me and we stayed at the enchantingly charismatic, Hotel Café Royal in central London. Upon our arrival, we were met with one of the managers, Kurtis who very quickly made us feel like our decision to book this hotel was the right one. Whatever it was, Kurtis ensured we had the best time and he went the extra mile to make our experience an exquisite one. In addition, we quite enjoyed the hotel bar, and were given some history of the hotel by, Kurtis. So we would like to say a huge thank you, you are truly an exemplary in hospitality and we shall be returning because of this.

This is an experience you don’t get elsewhere, thank you to all the staff, and in particular, Kurtis for a truly fantastic stay.

Lovely place to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. From start to finish we were looked after well. Our room was a junior suite overlooking Picadilly Circus but was also totally slient thanks to some amazing triple glazing. Some nice touches included a bottle of fizz, cakes and even a crystal vase as as a gift. We ate in the Grill Room and enjoyed lobster, preceded by some fresh, light salads. Staff were wlecoming and helpful throughout. All in all, impressed!

Every time I have been in this hotel's outlets I feel meticulously looked after. This time the service was also excellent, thanks to Caitlin and Daniela at the restaurant, as well as Daniel and Bella at the bar.

5- would give it 100 if I could. This is the MOST AMAZING hotel we’ve ever stayed at, by far. We are frequent travelers and generally stay at a Ritz or 4 Seasons but Hotel Cafe Royal blows all of them away. This is our wedding anniversary trip and from the moment we booked it several months ago, the concierge team went over an above to help us with itinerary recommendations based on our interests, and assisted with reservations to anything and everything you could imagine. But the real magic was when we arrived. We are here for a week and only 2 days in and felt it was necessary to let everyone know how INCREDIBLE this place is!!! The staff is absolutely first class, and go over and above in every way. From the doorman, front desk associates to the concierge, they are ALL so kind, constantly offering to help and constantly making sure we were good. The associate who checked us in was a lovely woman who kindly took us to our room, to ensure we liked it. We were blown away when we walked in to a beautiful Jr suite that was decorated with rose petals, balloons, chocolate dipped strawberries and a beautifully written artistic “Happy Anniversary” message drawn on our mirror with various colors. The room is absolutely GORGEOUS, the bathroom is like a spa retreat, marble everything with every amenity. The beds are comfortable and the cleanliness is top notch. They also offer car service to their guests if they want to go anywhere within 2 miles of the property. It’s a Bentley “house car” with a driver who is great/knowledgeable and points out interesting things along the way. It’s a free service offered to guests on a first come/first serve basis. We have used it it several times to go to the various tours and attractions. It is so convenient and a luxurious ride as well. Look no further, this place is a MUST. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place and highly recommend it. Also, the food is outstanding. We will only stay here when we visit London.

We loved this hotel! Having stayed at 4 different 5 star London hotels in the last 10 years we decided HCR was our favorite. The Jr Suite was spacious, modern, clean and very quiet. The hotel pool was a subterranean respite and large enough for laps. Picadilly Circle is noisy and busy and bursting with life and convenient to the best London shopping and Royal Academy of Art as well as a nice walk or quick tube to the other tourist sites. Plus HCR is right at the West End theatre district so your night activity is all wrapped up. Chinatown is also adjacent. For us we just loved the location.
We stayed here a few nights prior to leaving on a NS flight east and returned for one night before our flight back home. Thanks to Pierre at concierge desk, and his coworkers and front desk, our laundry was taken care of as well as retaining our winter clothing in a luggage piece we had left at the beginning our our trip. When we returned two weeks later the extra luggage bag was in our room and the laundry hanging up in the closet. Just beyond expectations!!! Also the hotel arranged for our four trips back and forth to Heathrow and the service provided was excellent and on time.
We enjoyed our breakfast in the hotel as well. Unfortunately due to other commitments we were unable to dine at Alex Dilling but will definitely not make that mistake the next time we stay at HCR.
We will be back!

I’ve been walking past this hotel all my life. Nothing prepared me for the experience we had. It was quite simply wonderful. Only one night as we were at a matinee theatre performance in the afternoon. An Amex booking gave us a (mild but grateful) upgrade, breakfast included (worth a lot) and £125 in the bar (easily spent!). All the staff were off the scale amazing. We loved every moment. Enjoy if you go! You won’t regret it.

Our 3-night stay at Hotel Café Royal in London was an absolute delight. Perfectly situated on Regent Street, the location was enormously ideal—mere steps from Piccadilly Circus, the glittering theaters of the West End, and upscale shopping on Bond Street. We wandered effortlessly to Soho’s eclectic eateries and vibrant nightlife, or hopped to Mayfair’s galleries without ever needing transport. The central spot made our London adventure feel alive and accessible, turning every day into a seamless exploration of the city’s pulse.
From arrival, the reception team impressed with their incredible attentiveness. Check-in was swift and personalized; they greeted us by name, offered refreshing welcome drinks, and shared tailored recommendations for hidden gems around town. Their genuine smiles and efficiency eased any travel fatigue, setting a luxurious tone right away.
Room service was equally outstanding—reliable and indulgent. Whether craving a midnight snack or a hearty breakfast in bed, deliveries arrived promptly, piping hot, and beautifully presented. The menu’s variety, from classic British teas to gourmet international dishes, satisfied every whim with top-notch quality and flavor.
Yet, the concierge team stole the show—they were simply spectacular! Proactive and resourceful, they anticipated needs we hadn’t even articulated. On our first day, they secured coveted tickets to a sold-out show at the nearby theater, complete with prime seating. When rain threatened our plans, they swiftly arranged umbrellas, a chauffeured car, and alternative indoor activities like a private tour of a local museum. One evening, they recommended an off-the-beaten-path restaurant in Covent Garden, reserving a cozy table and even suggesting menu highlights based on our preferences. Their expertise extended to practicalities too, like navigating public transport or sourcing unique souvenirs. It felt like having personal insiders dedicated to making our trip unforgettable—professional yet warm, they elevated the entire experience to extraordinary heights.
The hotel itself blends historic grandeur with modern opulence: our suite featured sumptuous bedding, a spa-like marble bathroom with premium amenities, and stunning views over the bustling streets below. Mornings started with natural light flooding in, invigorating us for the day ahead.
In summary, Hotel Café Royal offers unparalleled luxury through its prime location, impeccable service across reception and room service, and especially its world-class concierge. Absolutely gorgeous hotel, decor is beautiful . This has to be my favourite hotel in London as it ticks all the box’s. Great location, rooms so quiet, staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and there’s an amazing spa.
I could not fault it. The little details are spot on and very much appreciated. I’ll return.

I had the most amazing stay here for my birthday. From start to finish, my expectations were exceeded. Excellent service, beautiful surroundings and a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. An extra special thanks to Rudolph whose kindness and wonderful service made my stay even more special.

My husband and l stayed at Hotel Cafe Royal for the first time to celebrate a birthday. And we were joined by our two dogs as well.
The hotel is stunning but the highlight for us was how well our dogs were treated throughout the stay.
When we were shown to our room, we were delighted to see that they were both given a large dog bed to sleep on, mats with their names embroidered on them, a bag of dog treats, a dog toy each and a goodie bag supplied by Paw Daw of London. All of this and the hotel doesn't even charge for dogs staying!
We dined in The Cafe Royal Grill, drank in the Green Bar and had breakfast and all the time our dogs were allowed to join us and they were even allowed to sleep on the furniture.
Hotel Cafe Royal were so accommodating with them and it truly made our stay.
They also looked after my husband, who was celebrating his birthday, with balloons and a birthday message in the room and a complimentary cheesecake from Cakes and Bubbles and a nod to his birthday at breakfast too.
We couldn't fault a thing about our stay and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Excellent hotel. Ideally located in London for walking around and exploring the city.
The rooms are very beautiful, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The staff is truly focused on guests’ well-being. They showed thoughtful touches for my birthday, for example.
If I had one slightly negative thing to say, it would be that the savory breakfast dishes didn’t seem to live up to the hotel’s high standards. Otherwise, everything is perfect

This is an addendum to my previous review and follows a response from, and subsequent correspondence with, General Manager Eugene Leonard. His handling of my complaint was exemplary. I have faith that he will take steps to address the faults I identified from our original visit. Credit where it is due when it comes to customer complaints handling.

I just stayed at Hotel Cafe Royal with my family for 8 days. I cannot say enough amazing things about this hotel. Check in was seamless.....the room was lovely...and the concierge team was the best that I have ever experienced. Amine and his team at the concierge desk helped us secure tickets to two soccer games, transportation to and from, dinner reservations every night, private tours to some historical sites, and airport transfers. They even took care of shipping some items home for us. Again, no ask was too big and they made everything seem seamless and easy. They truly cared for us as guests and made us feel like family. We are already planningout next visit!

Awful afternoon tea. Where to start? Uncomfortable, small table, warm champagne, random service, horrid cakes and a whopping bill. The worst of London hospitality.

The staff here are incredibly friendly and provide outstanding customer service. One individual truly stood out, Tommy, the genial gentleman who welcomes you and assists with luggage, ensuring your arrival and departure are smooth and effortless. His exceptional service genuinely enhanced my experience. I look forward to returning soon!

The breakfast was 10/10! and the gym and spa amazing!

I booked a stay for one night so I could do some Christmas shopping, I made a reservation in the Grill Room for dinner, This turned out to be a complete disaster.
The waiter managed to get every aspect of my meal wrong. Wrong sauce for my steak, wrong potatoes, to mention a few. Very disappointing. He even used fowl language stating he had F**K up????
