Für 2 Nächte ok
Pros:

Djembe Beach nimmt nur Bargeld und keine Kreditkarten. Am Automaten bekommt man nicht genug ,so dass man in die Bank muss.

Pros:

Other room door luck had a problem so that whole night it made sound 'pip pip' .But stuff didn't know until we report.
Water problem, there was no water for 4 pm until 10 am next day in the morning. We could not taking a shower. They didn't give us water bottle until we ask next day morning to wash and brush teeth.
We booked half board but restaurant had only two menu to cook.

Very clean
Pros:

The hotel has good facilities although the breakfast is a bit bland. Staff are always cleaning and mopping floors, in the 7 days I was there I never saw an insect in my room. Air con is extra but the large ceiling fan was adequate. Staff are all very polite and friendly. I would stay there again.

TIP
Pros:

Have stayed in The Gambia on many of occasion and at the sister hotel Djeliba three times with no complaints. We decided to take our three girls with us this time for the Gambia Experience so decided to try and upgrade a little.

2 bedroom villa for five 12 night stay toilet never flushed correctly from day one reported a minimum of once daily to reception and also to the so called site plumber, was fixed on the eleventh day 2 hours before we left. Couldn't block it with toilet roll as was only supplied one per day (for five people). Room towels sometimes lucky if got three but mostly two for five people we did get five twice every other time was a trip to reception, then told they would bring to room just didn't say what day.
Pool towels if you got one don't let go as could be two to three days before you seen another.
Seven times in one day to get key card reset (wasn't near mobile phone) three time's back and forward to reception and still not working.
Breakfast was from 7am to 10am. No started to prepare at 7am if you had a trip booked for 7-30 maybe toast and jam if you made yourself

Lovely stay
Pros:

Stayed in the villa part of this hotel, couldn't fault it. Very clean, helpful staff, lovely pool and beach access from pool. Security really good, don't allow people to be bothered by local people selling things/access hotel/allocated part of the beach. Hotel drinks and food reasonably priced, other restaurants close by if eating out of hotel. The hotel owns a bar next door poco loco, which is really good for live music and drinks.

Clean and friendly locally owned hotel
Pros:

Djembe Beach Hotel upgraded us on arrival to their new rooms which had been built in traditional Gambian style to one side of the existing hotel. The rooms were huge with balconies opening out onto the sea, large bathrooms, fridge, tea & coffee making facilities and hairdryer. Lots of drawers and storage too although the drawers were made a little flimsily. The hotel are very welcoming and we enjoyed our 2 weeks here. The 1st week we stayed they had not yet opened up the 2nd breakfast terrace besides our rooms so found it a little chaotic in the mornings and witnessed near fights over pancakes! Breakfast is advertised as starting at 7am but in fact although they are open at 7 very little is ready as we discovered to our detriment on a morning we were being picked up at 7.30am to go on a trip. Lovely beach and poolside recliners and very accommodating attendants who will turn and move your lounger throughout the day to better help you catch the sun. They also prevent you being constantly approached to buy things on the beach as the beach is private above the high water line. Staff are very friendly, perhaps a tad over friendly in a few cases, when chilling happily on my own on my verandah I found the night security a little over friendly and my daughter had a younger member of staff ask her for money on more than 1 occasion. These small issues aside I would be happy to stay at this hotel in the future.

Gambia, December 2016
Pros:

We had a two bed villa, directly on the beach front. Probably the best position in the whole complex (Villa nineteen).
The rooms were not ready for us when we arrived (which was after 3.30pm) and there was no air conditioning or safety deposit box. However, we managed to get a safe after requesting one and the air conditioning was activated after around an hour - by which time the rooms were cleaned and ready for us. The air conditioning was pretty good once activated (it is a machine unit fixed to the bedroom walls). There is no a/c in the main living room (although there is an overhead fan). Be warned though - the a/c costs eight pounds per night, per room, so quite a shock to the wallet when you check out!
The hotel is generally excellent in terms of staff, security, cleaning, and location. But the cleaners have a strange habit of removing all towels from your rooms by 9am and not returning any clean towels until mid-afternoon. So we had to 'hide' the towels when we went for breakfast to ensure we could use the bathroom and swimming pool etc. No idea why they do this.
The breakfast is very chaotic though - they seldom have enough tables and there are never enough cutlery, cups or plates. Having said that, the omelettes are good, with fresh pancakes also. Hot food is sausages, porridge, eggs - no bacon of course.

Do not book - plenty of better hotels
Pros:

(1) arrived with receipt but told no booking! Found me a room but told may have to move so difficult to unpack
(2) in all my travels worldwide I have never met such rude staff so would never come back and would discourage others
(3) food awful and £20 for a bottle of plonk
recommend DO NOT BOOK

Lovely location
Pros:

Was a laid back hotel, was quieter and smaller than some of those nearby but this is what we wanted - on the beach front was easy to pop between your room, pool and beach. Excellent location for walking out on an evening to sample some truely amazing food. Pool and housekeeping staff are lovely.

Mysigt men obekvämt
Pros:

wonderful holiday
Pros:

Excellent location. Big bedroom with balcony, cleaned daily. Staff were friendly and helpful. Go see karafa outside the hotel gates over the road, he's a genuine lovely young lad who will help you get round the area. Go see Alex at the pool for towels.
