Dated but comfortable
Pros:

The hotel is large and a very dated but clean and comfortable. We booked a balcony but had to carry out the big heavy chairs outside so we could enjoy it. A small table and chairs out there would have been useful. They seem to be upgrading areas like the reception which is lovely and modern so hopefully in time they will do the rest. We booked this hotel because someone on TripAdvisor had said the breakfast buffet was the best they’d had in Thailand but unfortunately tourism had dropped off when we arrived and we were just offered a set menu from the a la carte menu which comprised of a drink, toast with butter and jam, fresh fruit and a main. Which was perfectly adequate but no cereals and only 2 fruits (watermelon and one other). It was way too much for us and we wasted so much which I hate doing. Even when I asked for a small portion it was still too much. As I said it was adequate but a buffet would had had a lot more choice. Can’t be helped I guess if you don’t have the guests. The shower was hot and good. The bedding clean. Staff were attentive and polite.

Pros:

The hotel looks like it was recently renovated, the room I sayed was big and had a huge balcony with a great view to the city and sourroundings. The location is very good, close to many night markets, restaurants and bars.

Cons:

I would like to have a provisoned mini bar, but there is only an empty fridge.

Two days in Hat Yai
Pros:
