A very nice hotel, central for Doncaster. Very friendly and professional staff, the rooms are big and clean with freshly changed towels etc (not something you get often these days) and it’s just very stylish with its Art Deco them and history.
Great stay
The ground floor bar and restaurant was well decorated. We looked at the 2nd floor suites which are very art deco in their execution but very glitzy. Room could do with a refurb but everything you could need was there. The best part of the stay though was the restaurant food. We were assured it was all freshly cooked and it was excellent. We had Dinner and Breakfast and both were great as was the service for both meals.

Lovely hotel, have stayed before now needs a bit of paint here and there and shower head needs replacing in room 314, but have to say it’s just a bit of maintenance required nothing else
The staff were friendly and welcoming. The bar person was polite and waiting staff helpful food was good. The room was a little tired ring marks on a bedside table, some scratches on rest of furniture and chairs were uncomfortable. We had a superior family room extra pillows would have been useful and glasses that had milk left in them were not washed by the maid and had to be got rid of by guests no clean glasses were provided this was not appreciated. A bar in the shower would be useful as one of the guest found it very difficult and had a fear of slipping. The location of the hotel was excellent . We would plan a revisit the points raised could be easily rectified .

Sat in the bar for evening drinks and was so cold, no heating on, had to sit with a coat on

Clean and convenient
The receptionist bar and restaurant was impressive. When we went to the bedroom there was the let down the furniture needed a definite upgrade,through the night i was awakened by loud noises from above which continued for at least 20 minutes it wasn't just footsteps which the receptionist suggested, i know what i heard so not very helpful.
We loved our stay in this beautiful art deco hotel. All the restaurant and bar areas are nicely decorated and our room had everything we needed. We stayed here for a family wedding and really enjoyed our trip.
