Widder Hotel

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Widder Hotel and cannot say enough good things about this place.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such thoughtful touches - a beautiful welcome spread in our room complete with complimentary wine and desserts, plus an elegant orchid. It set the tone for what would be an exceptional stay.

The Widder Bar is hands down the coolest, most fun spot we've experienced. The historical setting combined with incredible atmosphere made it unforgettable - the bar team even shared the rich history of the space with us, which made the experience even more special. The beautifully crafted cocktails and attentive service were perfection. We loved every minute and every person behind that bar.

The outdoor garden bar area is adorable, featuring vintage ski gondolas decorated with wooden skis, sleds, and evergreens that you can reserve for fondue - such a quintessentially Swiss experience.

Breakfast was equally impressive. Even though we arrived close to closing time, the staff never made us feel rushed. They gave us the full experience with warm, gracious service from start to finish.

Every single staff member we encountered was amazing and so accommodating. The hospitality here is truly exceptional - you can tell everyone genuinely cares about creating a memorable experience for their guests.

The location on Augustiner-Gasse in Zurich's Old Town is perfect, and the hotel beautifully blends historic charm with modern luxury. We can't recommend the Widder Hotel highly enough. This is exactly what luxury hospitality should feel like.

3 nights at very historic hotel. Location was fantastic. Staff were amazing. I had a special request that needed multiple steps and the concierge(s) were wonderfully helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a central and reasonably priced hotel. Worth more than what we paid.

The widder delivered on its expectations. Very interesting building that the rooms Meander through. Staff extremely well trained, and friendly . Extremely expensive, but that is life in Zürich.

We absolutely loved the Widder. The location is perfect, the staff is top notch and the property is so unique and beautiful. The breakfast is amazing, the bar is relaxed and cool, the elevator is a fun ride. Honestly, I can't wait to stay here again.

All round brilliant experience. Great location in the old town but convenient location for everything we wanted. Staff were great. Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Great interaction. Restaurant is lovely. Breakfast. Lunch or the special event supper. Most of their products are from their own farm or locally sourced. Definitely recommend. Room was very nice. Clean and spacious. This hotel is just amazing. The perfect location, the rooms are each unique. The food options , the staff all of it was just perfect. I would not stay anywhere else in Zurich!

The Widder does not miss a trick.. from the greeters at the door and front desk upon arrival to the daily staff to the cleanliness to its architecture. The Widder is an architectural gem. It’s been restored from nine free-standing medieval buildings to create the hotel that spans an entire block in the old city portion of Zurich. The sleeping room and the bathroom are spacious and pristine. The breakfast is delicious offering both buffet and made-to-order selections. We did not eat dinner in the Michelin Star restaurant but did spend time in the bar which was well-stocked as well as the outdoor garden restaurant. Each area in the hotel is unique but combines together seamlessly to create this truly wonderful hotel. The Widder clearly deserves its 5 star rating.

Lovely boutique hotel located in Old Town Zürich

The Widder Hotel is a charming boutique hotel centrally located in Old Town Zurich. Our Courtyard Queen room was spacious and was very chic, decorated with contemporary furnishings. However, the unique layout of the hotel with its passage ways and stairs might not be suitable with guests with mobility issues. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent with a wide selection of cold and warm dishes.
The service although welcoming, was rather slow as we had to ask for an electric kettle several times before it was delivered to the room.
Overall, the Widder Hotel was a lovely stay and the hotel’s central location and cost ambience made it an unforgettable experience.

Our travel agent suggested the Widder and it is everything you could ask for in a centrally located 5 star property

Our favourite hotel in Zurich, very close to everything. Rooms are great, service is excellent and f&b is authentic and delicious. Concierge very helpful, restaurant maître d excellent. Always stay here and we will return.

Bathroom showers needs upgrade to international standard. Water spills over and shower is like a sprinkler

A Unique and Luxury Hotel with the collection of Medieval Townhouses (oldest from 13th century) in Zurich’ s old town (a short walk from the main shopping street) with 49 rooms and suites.

The renovation is exceptional including old stone walls, wooden beams, original frescoes complemented by chrome, steel, and glass

Dining facilities are Widder Restaurant (fine-dining awarded two Michelin stars), Widder Bar & Kitchen, Boucherie AuGust (a meat restaurant-not so good!)

Hotel is on a pedestrian-friendly road, so can have problem with Uber or taxi to enter.

There’s a 24-hour fitness center but no spa just acess to spa facilities in its sister hotels.
