The Galloway House Inn

We stayed a long weekend in the Turner Loft Suite. The inn was built as a single family residence in 1895 it is beautiful, charming and has a beautiful garden. This suite is on the top floor, it is 41 steps to the top, just FYI. It is a nice apartment basically with laundry, full kitchen and living room. Its nice enough to live in honestly. The bed is very comfortable and the stained glass window is a nice touch. Free street parking, about a 5-10 minute drive to the tourist historic district, about a 10 minute walk to Forsyth Park. We loved our stay here, 10 out of 10! Also recommend Sly's Sliders and Fries located about 2 blocks away.

Everything about our stay was amazing. We could not have asked for a better place to stay and will def tell our friends and family about it :). There’s so much to see and do in Savannah. The Galloway house inn was a dream place to stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. We will 100% stay there again

Staying at the Galloway House was a wonderful experience! We were walking distance to so many places, the Caroline Suite we stayed in was clean and tasteful.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful, telling us places to go and eat and about the farmer's market/art fair at the park. We would stay there again!

From the moment we booked and engaged with Keith it was smooth, comfortable and definitely a positive experience. What a beautiful property; and excellent amenities. Free trolley circuit is just steps away. We would certainly stay here again!

Beautiful suite with a full kitchen, and gorgeous garden access. Personable host and quiet location

This is a lovely property, in a great location. It's beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and everything you could need has been provided. A gorgeous place, loved it and was sad to leave.

To be clear, this is not a hotel. It's an Air b n b. There is no lobby, no check in desk, and no onsite staff.

Pros: The owner was friendly,and was able to accommodate an early check in for me. The neighborhood was safe and quiet, with places like a good coffee shop withen walking distance. The linens seemed clean, and the AC was effective for the space. Also, bottled water in the fridge was nice. The garden courtyard had a nice "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" vibe.

Cons: As this is an old space, it comes with almost no amenities, and old fixtures. The shower had the water pressure of a squirt gun. The showerhead was calcified and shot in all directions but straight. If you would like more than 3 square inches of your body under the hot water at a time, you might be out of luck. There is no housekeeping for stays under 4 days, so you may have to clean after yourself more than you would in a hotel. The electronic lock was broken on the door, so I was given an old fashioned key, which isnt the most secure.

All in all, the Galloway House was clean, quiet, and comfortable but those looking for a hotel experiance might be disappointed. If you dont mind renting a room in someones house, than you will most likely enjoy your stay quite a bit.

The Galloway Inn was lovely. Clean and spacious lodging, that gave us the feeling of being a Savannah resident. We had a fully equipped apartment in the coach house upper level . It was easy to access by walking through a beautiful garden .
The area is quiet but within walking distance to some very good restaurants. We had our own transportation, but buses appear to run on a regular schedule .
We never personally met the owners, but they were very responsive to our texts when we had a request .

My stay at The Galloway House was a delightful escape within Savannah. The property is enveloped in beautiful greenery, creating a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for unwinding. Relaxing on the porch with a glass of wine was a highlight, thanks to the serene setting and fan to keep mosquitos away.

The service here made a great impression, providing a warm and welcoming environment. The hosts were very helpful, offering great tips for exploring Savannah, which added a nice personal touch to our stay.

While The Galloway House is not located right in the historic district, it’s just a short trolley bus ride or a pleasant walk away from the historic district or river front. Its location also offers easy access to the wider area, which is ideal for those looking to explore the region by car.

This property combines the charm of Southern hospitality with the convenience of being close to Savannah’s rich history and sights. I recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Savannah.

Beautiful property and our carriage house apartment was fantastic. Spotless and especially loved relaxing on the huge front porch of the main house. Great coffee shop and restaurants within walking distance. Loved being in the quiet part of Savannah but so close to get into downtown. Owners were great to visit with too.

We traveled from Philadelphia. This is a beautiful inn on a tree lined street with ample parking. Free shuttle stop close by for transportation into town and river area. Beautiful parks and plenty of restaurants and things to do. Jim and Keith are awesome hosts and helped to make our stay memorable. Would absolutely recommend this inn. We will be back

Our stay was excellent. Keith gave us a tour when we arrived along with very useful information regarding Savannah. The location of the inn was better than expected. There are many small cafés within walking distance with great affordable food. Everything becomes more expensive the closer you get to the river. The room was well prepared and very clean. We would definitely stay there again.

We were delighted we chose The Galloway inn for our short stay in Savannah. Our suite (Caroline) was extremely comfortable and quiet. Jim and Keith are very welcoming and clearly work very hard to ensure their guests have a great stay. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. We enjoyed the walk into Savannah but if you don’t want to walk the free trolley bus stops a few minutes away.

Loved the garden, great area, plenty of parking, beautifully decorated.
