KajaNe Tulamben

This was an extended stay at Kajane having enjoyed the previous few days so much. Many guests stay for a week or more. Location great by sea, especially if you book a Villa with its own Pool - strongly recommended.
The only downside (two) is that the property is a little 'tired' - the owners need to spend some money on a 'refresh' and the food is OK but not spectacular - many local alternatives. The absolute Standout here, apart from Villa location, are the STAFF - Hari & Koman as Managers . They couldn't have been more helpful at all times during my 8 day stay - great English too. Charming and really friendly - excellent !

Free rattle buggy available any time to shuttle about local area - always at your beck and call as needed Caution though Tulamben IS quiet and quite remote from normal 'tourist areas' - but that was very appealing to me. Not a huge amount to do other than Diving etc (which is excellent) .
If you want a peaceful place to stay, and stay in one of the Villas (I would recommend Villa 3 being more modern, bigger and good air con. Mosquito net provided for the very comfortable bed, and had a totally bite-free experience over 8 days . Room staff provide anti mozzi plug in things which obviously work!
If you want a peaceful experience, great location and the most charming and friendly hosts, book a Villa here (no 3) - highly recommended. I'll be back !

Har nog varit en pärla, men nu ganska nedgånget när det gäller bl.a trädäck runt boende och de mindre poolerna. Utomhusdusch.
Mycket bra bemötande och god mat som man fick beställa. Även frukost beställdes kvällen innan.
Ganska svajig WiFi.
Då det är ett av de dyrare hotellen i Kubu-området så hade jag nog förväntat mig mera.

We were in the closest pool villa to reception. It is fantastic. Lovely rustic field. And the pool completely enclosed so you can swim happily all day. Food was excellent. Staff absolutely amazingly good.
The place has been renovated back to life, but the area of sleep done fantastic and if you’ve got a pool villa, the rest of it doesn’t matter to you at all. Renovations, superficial, and no noise.

Best service received. staff want above and beyond to meet all of our needs.

We stayed her for one night since it was close to our Scuba Diving excursion. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Beautiful little boutique hotel right on the water. We wished we could have stayed longer! The hotel is tucked away from the road so we were nervous when turning down the street but we were pleasantly surprised.

Ê la seconda volta che alloggiamo in questo hotel ed è stata come l’altra volta una bella esperienza. Abbiamo prenotato la camera con la piscina privata e giardino. L’hotel si trova in un contesto naturale bellissimo lontano dai rumori e dalla confusione. Lo staff è fantastico, tutti gentilissimi e premurosi in particolare Hari che accoglie gli ospiti, Cicik che è addetta alla ristorazione e Ayu che aiuta. Sono persone davvero speciali. La pulizia è eccellente addirittura cambiano le lenzuola ogni giorno (non sarebbe proprio necessario). Colazione e cena sul patio della nostra villetta. Colazione abbondante alla carotte e cena con vari piatto della cucina indonesiana o pesce alla griglia. Tutto ottimo. Bisogna però essere consapevoli che il luogo è di puro relax, si può passeggiare sulla spiaggia completamente deserta di ciottoli vulcanici e corallo bianco però se il mare è mosso non è facile fare il bagno. Per noi non era importante. Ciò che a noi è piaciuto è la bellezza è l’energoa Del luogo. Ci torneremo per la terza volta. Un grazie a tutto lo staff.

Personnel attachant. Par contre si vous ne faites pas de plongée les journées risquent d'être longues...

Wer Ruhe sucht ist hier Perfekt! Super geeignet zum Schnorcheln und Tauchen! Kostenloses Shuttle nach Tulanben wo man günstig Roller mieten kann! Service und essen war hervorragend. Jederzeit wieder. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und super freundlich.

Staff is friendly and room is good. The common pool was dirty and unusable, property in general has seen better days. Staff arranged access to one of the pools in private villa on the second day.

Went diving and stayed in my own personal hut for 2 days. Oh and I had my own personal pool. The Staff were very friendly, helpful, and kind. Food was great!

We really enjoyed the place. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was absolutely amazing. Probably the best we had in Bali.

WE had such a great experience here.
We were celebrating our honeymoon and booked a standard room last minute online. Once we arrived we were ungraded to their private villa with our own pool, that over looked the ocean. it was very peaceful and amazing especially as we celebrated our honeymoon.

Sejour très reposant l'hotel est vraiment très calme, le staff est en permanence d'une extrème gentillesse. les alentours permettent de faire du snorkeling pour ce ceux qui ne sont pas là que pour la plongée

We stayed here 3 nights and were treated like royalty! Many thanks to the staff, particularly Eka, who were always friendly and helpful. The resort is a little isolated but they provide free transport to Tulamben and the restaurant has good food at a reasonable price. The resort has recently been taken over by new owners so they are still in the process of renovating it. There is no hotel spa facilities. There are good coral bombies in front of the resort and a stoney beach. Great snorkelling when the weather is fine, and Tulamben is great down the road, you can cycle there.

The private villa at kajane are amazing (looks much better in real than in pictures)!!!
There is anything you need : private swimming pool, 24h room service, nice breakfast included, etc.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
This is the perfect location for couples who want some rest and explore the local east Bali (very natural and beauty area no many tourists!)

However the hotel is located a bit faraway of big cities: 45min from Amed, 1h30 from Candidasa, 3h from Ubud, 3-4h from airport

it is a nice hotel however we stay not very long. And it is not easy to find. next time I will chose other cheaper place because we only go diving there.

Beautiful small secluded hotel off the tourist track. It is very peaceful with the only sounds being the crashing of the waves against the pebble shore.
This is especially nice if you stay in one of the villas as we did with a private pool and open air bathroom.
The staff are all really friendly and keen to help with anything and the food is very tasty with a good selection of lövskog and international cuisine.
It is relatively close to the snorkeling and diving attractions of Tulumben and Amed bays, which are only a short drive / scooter rise away.
All in all a wonderful stay and highly recommended of ever visiting the north east of Bali.
