Not a 4 star - 3 star at best
Cons:

We stayed at the hote for 3 nights at the end of October 2026. We had a king room booked on the second floor. While the hotel is in a great location and the food in the rooftop restaurant is nice the rest of the hote is definitely not a four star, at best a three star. The room was a decent size, the bed was not very comfortable, the tv remote didn’t work, the cleaning staff forgot to give us towels three days in a row, the windows are bolted shut (apart from in the bathroom) and aircon only cooled the room partly so it was never a comfortable temperature in the room as it was freezing in the direct path of the aircon (the bed) or tropical temperature in the bathroom and rest of the room. The reception staff were not helpful or friendly.

Pros:

La localisation, la gentillesse et la disponibilité du personnel.

Cons:

Le fait d'être contactée 2 minutes après l'horaire officiel du check-out pour libérer la chambre. Le nombre insuffisant de prises électriques.

Un hôtel authentique et accueillant.
Pros:

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est parfait pour visiter Stonetown. Le rooftop est remarquable pour la vue qu'il ouvre sur la ville et pour le confort apporté (bar, restaurant et piscine). Le personnel à été très accueillant et attentif à nos besoins. Les chambres sont spacieusrs et confortables.

Cons:

Le petit bémol porte sur le bruit lié au groupe électrogène, mais l'hôtel n'est pas responsable des coupures de courant qui affectant toute l'île...

War gut ich bin öfter und gerne dort

Cons:

Bei einem Zimmerpreis von 127 € pro Nacht finde ich es sehr befremdlich, dass Badezimmerartikel wie Zahnbürste, Shaving Kit oder Duschhaube erst ab einem Aufenthalt von sieben Nächten zur Verfügung stehen. Bei diesem Preis erwarte ich diesen Service auch für eine Nacht. Als Kurzzeitgast fühlt man sich dadurch leider nicht besonders wertgeschätzt.

Un hôtel authentique pour une escale à Stone Town
Pros:

La situation de hôtel Maru-Maru en plein centre ville permet de visiter Stone Town à pied.
Les chambres sont spacieuses, fonctionnelles et propres. La climatisation est efficace. La literie est ferme et de bonne de qualité.
Le petit déjeuner est varié, frais et très correct. La vue depuis de le toit est l'atout principal de l'hôtel.
La piscine sur le toit est propre.
Le personnel est chaleureux et courtois.

Cons:

Seul bémol, les fenêtres sont fines et isolent très peu des bruits urbains extérieurs (des bouchons auriculaires sont recommandés si vous ne souhaitez pas être réveillés très tôt).

Une immersion dans StoneTown
Pros:

Nous avons été très bien accueillis, avec sourire et professionnalisme. Excellent petit-déjeuner, beaucoup de choix et restaurant en roof top très agréable pour commencer la journée. La chambre était propre et bien agencée. L'hôtel est très bien situé, nous avons fait toutes nos visites à pied. Je recommande vivement !
