Decent location and rooms

**Hotel Savoy Central Review:**

We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Savoy Central, mainly due to its excellent location. It's right in the heart of everything, with plenty of shops and eateries around, which made it super convenient for us, especially with young children. The hotel’s proximity to local amenities was definitely a highlight.

The room was a decent size and the kitchen was a real lifesaver, allowing us to heat up food for the kids easily. It was a great touch for families. As for cleanliness, it met an acceptable standard, nothing extraordinary but no major complaints either.

However, the bathroom could really use a makeover. It felt quite outdated, and while it was manageable, it definitely wasn’t as modern as we had hoped.

The staff were generally polite and helpful, but there were times when I requested things and the response wasn’t as accommodating as I would have expected. Often, the staff seemed unsure or needed to check with someone else before fulfilling simple requests. The usual response was a “no” or a "maybe," which could have been more customer-focused. It’s hard to say if this is down to the staff themselves or if it’s more about the management not empowering them enough to make decisions or think outside the box. I do think a bit more autonomy for the staff could improve the overall guest experience.

Overall, a solid stay with great location and good facilities, but with room for improvement in service flexibility.

Pros:

They moved me to a different sister hotel saying the room wasn't available.in the different hotel , they only provided me the room for 1 night instead of 5 as promised. Then to make things worse, they gave me a room on the smoking floor, the room had smoking smell which was not good as we had an infant. Poor management.

For the purpose of my visit, the property is conveniently located with easy accessibility by car as well as he metro (short walking distance). It is generally clean and well maintained. Special mention on staff at all level, They are friendly and attentive.

The hotel was in a great location for walking around Old Dubai. It is a little old and could use some modernization. There was no ice machine nor a place to get ice until the dining area opened the next day.
