TV minuscule 😇
Staff were very helpful. They found me a kettle for the room - I prefer my own coffee to pod machines; after our first night, there was a fault in our room and we were given another room with a lake view. (Much quieter night after that! We realised then the city-side rooms are much more noisy - but still comfy).
Room very clean, with comfy beds; the parking was very convenient (underground park&ride in the station opposite). Hotel stamped our ticket so we could pay the discounted rate at the hotel.
We usually get the train from Geneva airport so this hotel is very convenient for the station, and the funicular up from town/the lake if you are feeling the steep walk would be too much!
Neuchatel is gorgeous.
We stay here to visit family who live in this part of Neuch' and this is our second stay; we did not have breakfast this time because the breakfast is...ok but very over-priced. (But the tables do have a lovely view.)
There is no air-con so when we stayed in summer last time, we nearly melted despite the fans in all rooms; this time was fine but we were unable to turn the radiator off so, again the room was very warm. (We asked staff who checked it, found it to be broken, instantly offered an upgrade to lake view room as mentioned above.)
Das Frühstück ist auf niedrigem Niveau gewesen . Pain au chocolate von gestern ..
