Een heerlijk ontspannen verblijf in een mooi hotel op een prachtige locatie.
Pros:

De locatie van het hotel is midden in het mooie witte stadje Thorn. Er is een heerlijk zonnig terras waar we nog lang konden blijven zitten met het diner. Het eten was heerlijk! Ook konden we onze fietsen in een afgesloten fietsenhok stallen. het personeel was heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk.

Waren er in verband met een verjaardag feestje van een zwager.

The property was very comfortable and nice. We had a much better experience with the morning staff then the evening staff when we arrived. The morning staff were very hospitable, sweet and provide an excellent breakfast. They also wished us a happy wedding anniversary before we departed.

Cons:

The male receptionist, in the evening for Chek-in, claimed he tried to contact us multiple times by phone, text, and WhatsApp about our dinner plans, but we showed him we received nothing (only messages from Booking.com). We had already confirmed our arrival time through the Booking.com app and were told arriving 10 minutes after the last dinner seating would not be an issue unless we arrived later than that, which is reasonable and understandable, and then they could not seat us.

Instead of this male receptionist offering a solution, he blamed us in front of other guests and told us there was no food available in the village after 7pm. He said we would need to drive to the nearest town for options like a frituur or döner kebab. Since we checked in at 19:10, he could have easily offered a simple solution, such as an appetizer or small snack, so we wouldn’t go to bed hungry. Instead, we ended up with no dinner at all. Even though we asked if the restaurant could provide us a small appetizer plate.

This was especially disappointing as we were celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary, which he was aware of.
