Good hotel in Davao
Pros:

Royal Mandaya is an institution in Davao. It’s when you know, you know.
Staff were polite as usual
Building is well maintained albeit on the old side
Comfy bed and pillow
Elegant evenings
Free basement parking unlike the rest of the establishments in the city
Overall, it’s giving proper hotel comfort. A comfort that condo rentals could never give you. I hope hotel scene in Davao remains strong despite the rise of condo rentals.

Cons:

That there’s no exhaust in the bathroom
No elevator to the basement parking (maybe there is but we just didn’t find)
Nothing else that we couldn’t fix

Location was perfect with a good customer service.
Pros:

The amazing customer service of the staff. We don’t have dull moments with them. From the concierge, reception, the F&B team to the room service.

Cons:

I knew the property very well as I grew up in the city of Davao. You guys had an amazing staff and good customer service. Upgrade the property at least or maintain the image by repainting it and clean it a bit.

Pros:

Staff is very professional and attentive.
The lobby and breakfast buffet are gorgeous.
Service is quick and efficient.

Cons:

The rooms need more attention, things like the tv or the aircon, I happened to have 4 (four) external aircon units in my “balcony”. Why?
The bathtub had a crack,
And it needs soundproofing.

Cons:

payment at booking.com
The room was supposedly paid in booking.com but staff said they had no terminal to process the online transaction paid through corporate card. CCard was still needed during check out which was no longer available and staff had to use own money to pay the accommodation.
