It suited us to be central in the city but the hotel room was a bit average, reasonable value for money.
Pros:

Very central

Cons:

Was a bit grubby and not well maintained, the bathroom heater did not work, and the paintwork was rough

The weather wasn't great so didn't do much. The room was comfortable and the staff very helpful
Pros:

Location was great - close to restaurants.

Cons:

The extra cost to park our car at a parking garage a block away. Nowhere to park car to unload luggage.

Hotel was well located and comfortable.
Pros:

It was well located and easy to get out of Wellington this morning

Cons:

Staff did not know parking rates in the nearby Wilson parking building that they use for parking cars. Quite unhelpful underpricing

You’re definitely getting what you pay for here. Not up to Accor standard.
Pros:

Not much

Cons:

It’s tired, and not well maintained or presented, so photos of delaminating bathroom joinery, and stained/grubby furniture.

Great staff & very good location
Pros:

The staff were the best thing about our stay - always polite & helpful. Bathroom fan was exceptionally noisy & the high winds also meant our room was a little cool.

Cons:

Noisy bathroom fan

I'll find something better next time. Shouldn't be difficult.
Cons:

i booked this hotel because it said it had parking.
It didnt say the parking wasn't on site.
there was breakfast offered but again they forgot to say it wasn't in the hotel. but in their 'sister hotel' up the road.
I mean really!!
For dinner they recommended the restaurant in their 'sister hotel'. it was pouring with rain, and no they didn't have an umbrella to lend us.
We battled our way through stormy Wellington weather to be told the restaurant was closed on that day!
The 'sister hotel' didn't seem to know!
I initially booked because of the parking and because it was a Mercure Hotel which for me was a guarantee of quality and service. no more I'm afraid. Very disappointed.
