DoubleTree by Hilton Qinghai - Golmud

I enjoyed staying at the hotel. However I could not get any wifi in the room. I went to the reception several times for advice. The connection in the reception was passable, but as soon as I walked away from reception area the connection was lost.

At arrival my booking cannot be found in system, even though I booked via official app.
The front desk lady even doubted whether I booked the wrong date before checking system.
The room was extremely warm which even caused me breathing problem in midnight.
The bathroom had a very strong smell what was caused by drain problem.
The breakfast was quite disappointing and the staff was not helpful and only standing and looking.
By check out it took almost 15min to print VAT Invoice with again system problem. But luckily the lady at check out was quite friendly.
Totally a very disappointing stay and will be never here again. Even much much worse than a lot of local hotel!

This property has luxurious facilities up to Conrad standard in North America. Happy hour in restaurant provided a variety of food and drink. Staffs in the restaurant at lobby were very accommodating and helpful. Room was very comfortable and functional.

Excellent hotel, and service. very friendly check-in. As a Diamond member, I received a complimentary upgrade to a spacious suite. Excellent overall experience, especially for the very reasonable room rate.

I stayed here two nights on business on my first visit to Golmud. This is the only international hotel in town. Excellent room, very comfortable bed, badly designed shower (leaked into bathroom) but that was a minor blip. Nicely designed public area, adequate breakfast, did not use the pool//gym/spa. Friendly staff but still learning their trade. This feels like a hotel on its way up and will soon be truly 5 star, to some extent like Golmud itself which is something of a frontier town. Recommended and reasonably priced

What a place! Got a free upgrade to the deluxe business rooms as the hotel was not so busy. The room was amazing, with free English movies and a very comfortable bath. We also ate from the buffet in the evening, which has front cooking and plenty of cakes to choose from. Really impressed with their food, which says a lot since I am a chef myself.
The manager was very friendly and spoke perfect English. He helped us book a Trainticket, which can be difficult without speaking Chinese. Can only recommend this place!

My wife and I decided to stay at the Hilton as part of our cycle tour trip around China. The rooms are incredible and very high end. The hotel is definitely 5 star in terms of service, quality and amenities. The staff are very friendly and the manager Micky helped us arrange our transport by train to Chengdu. He even came with us to the train station to help with communication and to our surprise helped us again on the morning of our departure by coming with us to help with luggage etc! The price to stay is amazing - considering the quality of the hotel. We stayed two nights and also enjoyed the evening buffet which had something for every traveller. The breakfast is equally fantastic! We have stayed in many hotels around the world ..and this has to be one of the best we have stayed!

My sister and I went to Golmud for our holiday and we stayed at DoubeTree. Excellent location with nearby local food, helpful and friendly staff who provides us with assistance during our stay. We will definitely go back and stay there again..

Western style, still need to improve the English language at the receptionist, the Gym is well equipped and the swimming pool is excelent. The should enforce more the No Smoking in the entire building

Awesome hotel and the staff is there for your every need Spent almost three months there and was sad to be leaving. Micky and Danny, are the management team and they are the best. Great service, and very nice rooms.

My husband is working in China so we are living at the Hilton Doubletree Hotel. I only have positive things to say about the hotel staff, services and accommodations. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance of the shops and markets. The staff are our family here, always ready to help out whenever possible, whether it be with translation or finding something we are looking for. I could never praise them enough and they make such a huge difference in my stay here. The hotel itself is quite huge, very modern and tastefully decorated, has a gym, pool and a spa that offers massages and hair dresser services. Western food is offered in the dining room and there are quite a few delicious choices on the menu and if you don't want to dine in the dining room the bar offers a happy hour every evening with a limited menu. I thank God for these people day....they are such a blessing.

we had to stay one night in Golmud as we booked the train from Golmud to Lhasa. Problem was to collect our tickets at the train station as nobody speaks English and cares.the hotel manager
Supported us extremely and sent a staff with us to the station.
He arranged everything perfect. Thank you again for your great help.

My friend and I came to stay at this hotel during our visit to Qinghai last week. We were very surprised to find such nice hotel in this town. The hotel is very clean and spacious! Facilities are quite new. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. The location of this hotel is good too. We were able to find restaurants and markets right outside the hotel. Strongly recommend this hotel to people who come to this part of the country!

Hotel is excellent, very good location, food is good and worthwhile place to stay , good quality for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent dinner - buffet. Excellent equipped fitness center and pool always clean and average temperature

They handed me water while i was waiting at the lobby, they proactively offer luggage and taxi assistance whenever necessary. They are courteous and maintenance a friendly yet professional manner.

Good location, close to center of town. Clean ,staff excellent, good value for money. Good and well maintained fitness center. Cater for both Chinese and Western food. Rooms are well equipped and clean. Food is excellent
