Trotz der Kritik ein prima Aufenthalt
Pros:

Super Lage, toller historischer Frühstücksraum und auch sonst tolles historisches Gebäude wie Bibliothek, Treppenaufgang etc . Toller Blick aus dem Zimmer

Cons:

Aus den Zimmern kann man mehr machen etwas abgewohnt. Unpassend war der Standort des Schranks, der den Durchgang ums Bett erschwert hat. Das Zimmer war groß genug, einen Schrank hätte man an anderer Stelle passend einbauen können

gemütliche Unterkunft unweit vom Stadtzentrum
Pros:

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Unterkunft ist nicht weit vom Haymarket entfernt und somit ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um die Stadt zu Fuß zu erkunden.

perfektes, nicht billiges Quartier on ruhiger Lage
Pros:

sehr vielseitiges Frühstück, kleiner Kühlschrank, tolle Aussicht, sehr hilfsbereites Personal

Cons:

sehr kleines Zimmer, Fenster nur wenig zu öffnen, winterdecke im Sommer (mittlerweile auch in Schottland warm), stickige Gänge (nicht gelüftet)

Bathroom a little basic but I gather a refurb is soon to be done. Definitely need towel hook or rail and a bigger shelf for toiletries

Pros:

Gentillesse incroyable de la part du personnel,
Excellent petit déjeuner : copieux, complet, très bon,
Chambre très propre et spacieuse, le ménage est fait tous les jours
La vue des chambres arrières est magnifique (vue sur Dean Village)

Cons:

Nous avons eu trop chaud ! Nous logions au dernier étage, fenêtre ouverte et il faisait chaud : la fenetre s’ouvrait peu et il n’y avait qu’un petit ventilateur. Le sommeil était mauvais de ce fait là.
Nous vous recommandons de bouger le crochet de papier wc (il est juste à coté de la chasse et il faut se contorsionner pour l’attraper)

Pros:

Ruhige Gegend trotzdem zentral gelegen. Herrschaftliches Ambiente. Unser Zimmer in der 4. Etage war groß, etwas gedrungen, weil Dachgeschoss. Aber eine herrliche Aussicht auf Dean Village.
Wenn man zum Frühstücksbuffet auch a la card bestellt, ist es sehr gut.

Cons:

Leider gab es im kleinen Bad keine Möglichkeiten, die Handtücher aufzuhängen. Das wurde trotz sofortiger Meldung nicht geändert.

Great location for brief Eninburgh stay
Pros:

The location was perfect for us, walking distance to everything including airport bus stop and tourist sites and restaurants.

Cons:

The room was a bit small but as expected form photos- and I a not a fan of the coffee machine

Nice location in Edinburgh West End but overpriced for a dark & stuffy basement room.
Pros:

Reception staff helpful and friendly. The area the hotel is in is lovely.

Cons:

Our room was small, dark and too hot. No air con and window couldn’t open very wide. Fans were provided though, thankfully.
