**Sotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo-Toyochoに2回目の宿泊 — 今回は印象が変わりました**

今年、私たちはSotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo-Toyochoに2回目の宿泊をしました。初めて宿泊したのは昨年で、正直なところ、その時はホテルに対してかなり複雑な印象を持ちました。それなのに、1年後にまたここへ戻ってきたいと思った自分でも少し驚いています。

まず、昨年とても残念だったのが朝食です。おそらく、これまでホテルで食べた朝食の中でも、最も質素な朝食のひとつだったと思います。

このホテルに泊まる前は、西葛西にある別のホテルに滞在していました。そこでは、本格的な和食の朝食が用意されていて、料理の種類も豊富で、好きなだけ食べることができました。水やオレンジジュースもいつでも用意されていました。

さらに、そのホテルには宿泊者が昼食や夕食を温めたり、ゆっくり食事をしたりできる専用のスペースもありました。

その経験と比べてしまうと、Sotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo-Toyochoはかなり違うカテゴリーのホテルに感じてしまいました。

特に残念だったのは、宿泊者が自由に食事をできるスペースがなかったことです。部屋が小さいため、食事をする場所がベッドの上だけというのは、正直あまり快適ではありません。

そして、何より印象に残っているのが昨年の朝食です。

昨年の朝食では、小さなホットドッグと、半分ほどの量のコーヒー、または氷の入った飲み物が提供されました。

そのホットドッグも決して特別おいしいものではありませんでしたが、結局それが一番良い選択肢だったので、2週間ほど、ほぼ毎朝それを食べていました。

私たちはホテルに、「1日おきに朝食を利用する代わりに、2日分の朝食を一度にいただくことはできませんか」とお願いしたこともありました。

例えば、ホットドッグを2つ、飲み物を2杯分いただき、コーヒーなら半分の量を2つ、あるいは1杯分にしていただくというお願いです。

しかし、そのお願いは受け入れてもらえませんでした。

そのため、ホテルで朝食を食べた後、結局いつも別のカフェに行って、追加で食事をしなければなりませんでした。

正直、子どもでさえその朝食だけではお腹がいっぱいにならないと思います。

でも、それはもう昨年の話です。

**今年、朝食がかなり変わっていたことには本当に驚きました。**

おそらく、多くのお客様から意見や要望が寄せられ、ホテルも改善に取り組んだのだと思います。

今年はコーヒーがきちんと1杯分提供されるようになり、小さなサラダも追加されました。また、卵または甘くないヨーグルトを選ぶことができます。

昨年からある私たちのお気に入りの小さなホットドッグも残っていて、新しく具の入ったパンも加わっていました。これは昨年はありませんでした。

いろいろ試してみましたが、最終的にはやはり小さなホットドッグを選びました。私の好みでは、やっぱりこれが一番おいしかったです。

もちろん、ホテルには、特に海外からの旅行者も多く宿泊すると思うので、もう少し本格的な和食の朝食を提供していただけたら、さらに良いと思います。

今年このホテルに来る前には、大阪のホテルにも宿泊しました。そこでは朝食におにぎりをはじめ、さまざまな料理、コーヒー、緑茶などが用意されていて、朝食については間違いなくそちらのほうが良かったです。

それでも、このホテルが少しずつ改善しようとしていることは、今回とても感じました。

そして、それは嬉しいことでした。

**一方で、今年になって少し悪くなったと感じる部分もあります。**

昨年はベッドがかなり硬いと感じました。ただ、ホテルにお願いして追加の毛布をいただいたことで、かなり快適に過ごすことができました。

その他の点では、スタッフの皆さんはいつもとても親切で丁寧でした。それも、このホテルに良い印象が残っている大きな理由のひとつです。

また、1階にマスクが置いてあり、夜にシャワーを浴びた後、マスクを使って少しリラックスできるのもとても気に入っていました。

小さなサービスですが、こうした細かな心遣いが「大切にされている」と感じさせてくれます。

ただ、今年は部屋の汚れやシミが昨年より目立つように感じました。家具も少しずつ傷みが目立つようになり、ベッドリネンも以前ほど柔らかく感じませんでした。また、清掃についても、昨年より少し質が落ちたように感じました。

そして、今回は部屋の眺望にもあまり恵まれませんでした。

昨年はメインストリート側の部屋で、特に夜の景色がとても印象的でした。

今年は窓の外が工事現場だったため、景色については少し残念でした。
