The beds were very uncomfortable as well as the pillows. They were way too soft. We have stayed at a lot of holiday inn express and this one was very disappointing.

There was one particular staff member was very rude and disrespectful she came to the gazebo at 9:30 when it didn't shut down till 10 and quiet time didn't start till 10 and told us that she was going to everyone leave the area in which we were not loud we were simply watching TV and discussing the girls softball tournament. For the cost to stay we should have never been treated that way. Our whole team was very respectful and kind to ur whole staff

Almost Perfect Until I looked Under...
Pros:

PRO: Free breakfast, parking, and water available upon request.
Convenient location near Interstate 70, good service, and a clean, quiet room with a comfortable bed. However, the price should be lower given the WV location.

CON: During breakfast, I noticed our table was wobbly, and several nearby tables had paper wedges underneath to keep them steady. I had been ready to give the hotel a perfect score until I looked under.

Charged extra charges for no reason with no recourse or explanation.
Pros:

I stayed one night at this hotel, and I was charge two additional charges of $37.95 each - so $75 extra dollars, with no explanation whatsoever as to why. I tried calling three times and I get nothing but artificial intelligence bots who keep telling me to call the front desk directly. One bot even texted me a number to call, which took me back to the same AI bots. I can’t find a single way to dispute these charges. I will have to tell my bank to not pay the charges. It is extremely frustrating to have such poor customer service.

Pros:

It is really hard to find roadside hotels in this part of the country with decent ratings (outside of major cities). This seemed to be the best option near Pittsburg on I70. Anyway, this is a not-too-old HIE with all of the expected amenities. It has a pool and an exercise room with 2 of everything. Breakfast was fine, beds were comfortable, room was clean with no bugs. A lot of minor issues, though. When we arrived to check in (~6 PM) there was a sign saying the desk clerk was out helping someone and to call a number. We called the number. No response. Waited 10-15 minutes before someone finally showed up. When he did, it was fine. He was happy and pleasant and checked us in efficiently. There were a lot of minor maintenance issues. The TV was canted at a 5-10 degree angle due to a loose wall bracket. The shower worked, but had a poorly attached valve. The desk chair was slightly slanted to the side causing back problems. Empty wipes dispenser in the exercise room. All minor things, an not really a reason not to stay here. No major negatives. We slept well.

It was clean and 5 minutes from the sports complex
Pros:

It was close to the sports complex which is why we were there. The breakfast was great.

Cons:

The pool was freezing and they did not have enough towels. The slamming of doors all night was obnoxious, and the people partying in the halls all night.
