Pros:

I love the room, I love the clean hotel location is ok but quite far from other places breakfast is amazing and the staff very attentive .

Cons:

The staff in the Chinese restaurant absolutely rude !! I asked them if I could have table they nodded to say no and then spoke to another colleague and laughed very rude and made me uncomfortable where I didn’t even end up eating there

Divine Shanghai!!
Pros:

Gorgeous luxury and space on the North Bund. Loved the room, the rooftop bar and spa.

Cons:

No ironing board in the room.
Instructions to get back into the Banyan from the walking track need to be put in place. I would personally change the mens uniforms - they are slightly disturbing. AC could be more responsive.

Not as nice as your typical Banyan. Good view of pearl tower. Service left a lot to be desired.

The communication with staff here left a lot to be desired. We saved up money and booked a stay here to celebrate our anniversary, as we had seen multiple photos and reviews online of the hotel making special room arrangements for guests for special occasions. I contacted the hotel three times prior to let them know this and they confirmed they would make arrangements for us too. Upon arrival, this was not the case. I informed the front desk and showed them my previous correspondence but no anniversary decorations were in our room when we returned. I provided this feedback to the hotel after our stay and they said the manager would reach out to me via email. It’s been a few weeks now and still haven’t heard anything. I hope the hotel can do better about following through with what they say they will do, because we experienced multiple occasions where this was not the case.

Also, note that if you book the room with the panoramic pool, the room will be quite damp and humid.
