Not as nice as your typical Banyan. Good view of pearl tower. Service left a lot to be desired.

The communication with staff here left a lot to be desired. We saved up money and booked a stay here to celebrate our anniversary, as we had seen multiple photos and reviews online of the hotel making special room arrangements for guests for special occasions. I contacted the hotel three times prior to let them know this and they confirmed they would make arrangements for us too. Upon arrival, this was not the case. I informed the front desk and showed them my previous correspondence but no anniversary decorations were in our room when we returned. I provided this feedback to the hotel after our stay and they said the manager would reach out to me via email. It’s been a few weeks now and still haven’t heard anything. I hope the hotel can do better about following through with what they say they will do, because we experienced multiple occasions where this was not the case.

Also, note that if you book the room with the panoramic pool, the room will be quite damp and humid.

- Die Lage am Fluss mit fantastischen Blicken auf die Skyline von Schanghai war für uns perfekt. -
- Die Zimmer sind groß und geschmackvoll.
- Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig.
- Hervorheben möchte ich den Concierge George, der uns sehr geholfen hat mit Tickets und Reservierungen für Restaurants.

Cons:

- Der Pool hat keine Fenster und befindet sich im Keller. Bei unserem Besuch war dort nur unfähiges Personal, das keine Handtücher angeboten hat. Zugang zum Schwimmbecken nur mit Badekappe.
- Meiden Sie Suiten mit der Nummer x01. Diese haben 180 Grad Blick auf Bürogebäude, nicht auf den Fluss, und bieten wenig Privatsphäre. Uns wurde das als Upgrade angeboten, aber wir würden die Riverside-Räume (King oder Double Twin) jederzeit vorziehen
- Englisch - Für ein Haus mit internationalem Anspruch würde es sich anbieten, mehr in die Sprachkenntnisse des Personals an Rezeption und im Service in Restaurants und Bar zu investieren
- Checkin - langwierig und umständlich. Bei unserem 2. Aufenthalt innerhalb von 10 Tagen wurden wir behandelt, als wäre wir noch nie Gäste im Haus gewesen. Um 12 Uhr Nachts hat ein Rezeptionist uns Upgrades verkaufen wollen, um dann einzugestehen, dass die gebuchte Raumkategorie nicht verfügbar ist. Peinlich und unangemessen. Wenn so etwas passiert, sollte eine großzügige Lösung VORBEREITET sein und ohne Umschweife offeriert werden.
