Late-Night Hot Water Outage With No Advance Notice; Refunded but Poorly Managed
Pros:

Due to a pipe burst, the hotel had no hot water for multiple days, including overnight hours. Guests were not informed in advance of this issue.

At approximately 11:00 PM, I was notified that hot water would not be available for the night and was asked to consider canceling the reservation at that time. Given the hour, this placed the burden entirely on the guest. No proactive assistance with relocation or alternative accommodations was offered.

While hotel management later issued a full refund for the stay, which was appropriate, the overall handling of the situation fell short of reasonable expectations for a Hyatt property, particularly with respect to communication and guest care during a major service disruption.

Pros:

Good spot to rest after a busy day
Pros:

The breakfast available offered a variety of choices from hot oatmeal to eggs with all the fixings. The location was downtown in the heart of Austin. Parking is very difficult and needed to use the valet service which was very expensive per day ($50) plus tip. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Always smiling!

Cons:

Aside from the very expensive cost for daily parking- all was good. I think they might consider changing out the beds more frequently- mine had quite a few body dents which made sleeping somewhat uncomfortable.
