Het diner was fantastisch.
De bedden. Een beetje te laag.
De bedden en het eten.
Niets.
The location is lovely - very rural but we knew that. We had a nice meal at theiir adjoining restaurant, quite pricey for France and only set menus available. The owner is a good chef, he could make more of the restaurant.
The decor was poor quality and dated. Our bed was pretty awful and the bathroom was an odd mixture of very old and new additions. The toilet was basically in a cupboard. Newly installed laminate flooring squeaked any time someone walked on it.
L'emplacement(sur notre chemin de Compostelle !) et le cadre
Le système de climarisation/chauffage...
The most tranquil of locations we have stayed in. The ambience was homely and friendly.. We loved our one night stay..
Lovely setting, very quiet and food was delicious.
Parking was a long way from room to carry bags.
Great food and location
Nothing
Stopped here en route to Italy by car, very much off the beaten track. Lovely countryside location, very peaceful. Pleasant welcome. good room with all facilities, bed was adjustable and very comfortable. Decor a little dated, but this is part of the charm of choosing a rural hotel. Excellent meal, reasonably priced; lady who served us was especially nice. Good breakfast. Would definitely come back.
The restaurant , which is in a separate building from the rooms ( I say rooms and not hotel as this is not what I would consider a conventional hotel ), was particularly good.
Being a Saturday evening, I had pre booked a table for 4, and the restaurant was quite busy, but our party was the only table of residents, all of the others were locals enjoying the fine cuisine. The menu is varied with some unusual dishes and everything we ordered was excellent. It's worth staying here for the restaurant alone.
When I booked this ' hotel ', I was aware of the check-in time , but after a long drive from Italy, we arrived an hour before check-in. No problem, as this hotel is advertised as having a bar. I nearly always arrive at hotels before my room is ready, usually to enjoy a pint in the bar or to use the facilities in general before heading to my room.
On this occasion, we found the place deserted. 3pm on a Saturday afternoon and no staff anywhere. Finding an unlocked door, we entered to find the reception desk and some tables and chairs, where we sat and waited. Shortly after, a rather angry lady appeared shouting they were closed and we shouldn't be in here. I explained we had been on the road since 7.30 am and could we wait in the bar, to which I was told there is no bar.
Eventually, she calmed down and let us into our rooms early , but that was it. Not food or drink , nothing.
We were told the restaurant would unlock at 4 pm when we could buy a drink , but then we had to take it back to our rooms as the restaurant was still closed until 7.30pm .
I would not have booked this hotel had I realised there was no reception / communal area, and no bar in which to relax.
We hebben het reuze goed gehad en komen volgend jaar weer graag terug.
