Budget hotel
The breakfast buffet not so good...some dishes left cold when served
I stayed at this hotel for two weeks for business purposes. I chose this hotel because it was the closest to my activity location, within walking distance. However, the impression I got during my stay was poor.
I do not understand how the management runs this hotel, as its condition is quite concerning. In many areas, the corners of the hotel look dingy, dirty, and in need of repair. The ceilings also show signs of water leaks, many walls are peeling, doors do not close perfectly, etc.
The worst part is the cleanliness. This hotel is not carrying out proper cleaning and maintenance procedures. They only tidy up and clean the rooms to look neat. It's only for appearances, not truly a proper, habitable clean. They are not changing the sheets and blankets.
I would not mind if I were using the same room the night before and sleeping in the same bed, meaning the sheets and blankets were used by myself. But it is absolutely unacceptable when it is a new room I have just moved into.
The chronology is as follows:
I was staying in room 615 for a few days, and the air conditioner leaked. I was moved to another room that day, room 515.
The same thing happened in room 515: the AC leaked, and the room was flooded. Since it was very late, I asked to move the next day.
The next day, I returned to the hotel quite late and had been moved to room 611. However, the AC was hot and could not be set, even after the staff attempted to fix it. Moving back and forth between rooms has been quite frustrating, considering my husband and I work and return quite late, feeling exhausted.
The next day, I was moved back to room 615 because, according to the hotel staff, the room had been repaired. I asked if the AC was truly fixed and if the room had been cleaned, to which the staff replied, "Yes."
For some reason, that day I double-checked the condition of my room, perhaps because I was already frustrated by the previous incidents. When I pulled back the sheet, it was clearly wrinkled and crumpled. They had only tightened the sheet to make it look smooth, but I could not be fooled. I asked again, emphasizing whether his statement was true that the room had been cleaned according to procedure, and the staff still insisted, "Yes."
Frustrated, I opened and showed him the condition of my sheets. The staff member remained silent. I asked for new sheets and a blanket, saying I could put them on myself. The staff member eventually came and helped me, but he was visibly nervous. After it was done, I asked him again: in his opinion, did the previous sheets and blanket look the same as the new ones he had just put on? He replied, "No," with a nervous and scared look on his face.
I must emphasize that not all guests can be fooled. The creases and texture of new sheets and blankets are vastly different from those that have been used. It might be acceptable not to change everything if a guest specifically requests it not to be changed, and they have a sign for it—something like a "green living sign" to be placed on the bed. Otherwise, everything must be replaced with fresh linens, as this is the standard procedure and a guest's right.
Do not get into the habit of deceiving guests, whatever the reason! Guests must be given their rights because they are paying for them. Management needs to fix issues like this. It is no wonder the hotel's condition is so deplorable, looking dingy, dirty, and full of stains.
Don't lie if you can stand for it!
If you want to talk about SOP to me, i can throw it all back to you cos i know it well for almost 20 years.
FYI, the manajement didn't do something. The staff only said sorry and created something like towell arrangement on my bed with some faded artificial flower petals that were cluttering my bed.

It was late and I needed a room just for stay overnight before moving to The Dharmawangsa. A friend of mine helped me booking and got this hotel. When I arrived I just realised that I have been to this hotel in 2015 (former Favehotel Kemang).
The front desk when I checked was oke but the one whom I met for check out was no eye contact when saying : please wait while we checked your room.
The bed was no longer comfortable, cleanliness was oke but the physical condition include corridor were ugly and not maintained.
Perhaps this hotel was fine for some people but not for me. Well maintenance, cleanliness and friendly staff are my top three priorities from any star rated hotels
The staff were out of this world. For, they were incredibly courteous, helpful and cheerful.
Whoever designed this hotel probably did not know about sound proofing. The noise levels from the street and from Neighboring rooms as well as rooms above you we're very noticeable. The room next to me had a connection door and kids on the other side were trying to open the door on me and my wife. Water pressure seems to be a problem in that hotel because using a generous shower was something to be wished for.
