Pros:

Employees were very friendly esp. the pool guy from Kenya, the lobby/doorman was very helpful and willing to teach us how to take the metro, taxi, grocery etc., housekeeping is also friendly. But the room that we got has already stains, carpet stains, chairs already tainted, showers not working proper, toilet/bathtubs and walls have black stains already.. and the aircondition not cold enough.. we tried to ask for another room but they inform us that their fully booked… during midnight to morning aircon is not working efficient.. But the hotel employees were mostly friendly and accomodating… elevator is clean/resepsjon and the pool is amazing…

Smelly carpets (old wet carpets kind of smell) although the team offered to change the room but it was a hassle for me to pack and unpack so had to live with the smell

The carpet in the room had stains; the soap dispensers were empty; and the bathtub had brown stains. Otherwise, safe and a short walk to the train station. Be aware that some of the rooms face an adjacent mosque and thus you hear the loud call to prayer, including at 5:00 am.

We had a very poor experience at this hotel, which I booked through Expedia. The condition of the room was unacceptable (I have video evidence), yet neither Novotel, Accor, nor Expedia took the complaint seriously.

Despite repeated escalation, none of them even viewed the evidence I provided. Instead, my complaint was dismissed with irrelevant “cancellation policy” excuses! Even though I was not cancelling anything. We had already stayed there!

This shows a huge lack of accountability and guest care. Travellers should be aware that if you face problems, you cannot expect genuine support or resolution from any of these companies. Do not stay here.

Pros:

Great week at Novotel! Staff new my name and treated me well. I walked the whole neighborhood late at night tons of food options around very safe. Grocery store nearby. Metro across the street . Quick taxis. Location perfect for exploring Dubai. Elephant bar had live music smiley staff willing to serve my particular requests .

Not the worst hotel, but far from the best. The carpets are absolutely disgusting. The shower drain was clogged. The pillows were terrible. They need to invest in cleaning their hotel. But they made the image look good. The area is good, but truly a disgusting room
