Very disappointed. Won't book Sebel again
Pros:

The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The location is central, close to restaurants, cafes and beach.

Cons:

We booked this because of the Sebel name, but this is not in anyway up to the Sebel's standard. The queen? room (106B) was musty and smelly, old furniture, cheap curtains and a huge water stain on the very old carpet, near the small bar fridge which had a tiny freezer compartment that was thickly crusted with ice. The bath was chipped, the grouting had black stains in the shower -over bath (which was unsafe) All this and to add insult to injury it was very much overpriced. The lift broke down a couple of times and we had to carry luggage down three flights.

Great staff, great location, great stay!
Pros:

Location is excellent, in the heart of Byron Bay, walking distance to the beach and excellent food spots.
The room was very cosy and perfect to come back to a the end of each day. The staff where stand out excellent at all stage throughout may stay.

Cons:

My only criticism is that the room next door was particularly loud on weekend nights, this isn't anyone from the hotels fault and Byron Bay is a young party town.

Pros:

Byron bay is a great place to visit

Cons:

The noise. Parties were allowed until all hours of the morning. Security called an only issue warnings

Nothing was done for the neighbouring rooms - paltry from 9pm to 4am

The noise, language and behaviour of the room next door was unacceptable

Location is excellent. King size bed was unreal. Apartment was spacious.

I dunno. It did not seem to meet the standard that I expect from the Sebel. It was satisfactory. But not at the standard that I expected.

the corridors etc look, to me, grotty. Dark, dank, messy, cleaning stuff all over the place, day and night. No decoration or any sense of making it a welcoming place to be. so different to the lobby.

Pros:

Location was excellent. Staff were friendly.

Facilities were old and dirty.
Sliding door did not open (but was fixed)
Tap in bathroom was awkward and sprayed water everywhere.
Shower door sounded like it was cracking when you open/close it.
Super expensive for what it was. Definitely not good value for money. Would not stay here again.
