The Yorkshire Hotel

Good location with lots of dining and shopping very close. Downside is that the area is very busy and stays noisy until daybreak. The hotel staff is great but the facilities and rooms are old and need to be updated.

The staff at the check-in were extremely helpful. I paid extra for the breakfasts (but guests get 10% off) and they were very good and waitress/waiters all very friendly. The room was clean. Mattress a little too firm for my liking but otherwise all was good. The pool was surprisingly large for such a central location. Would definitely come back.

I stayed in this property about 10-12 years ago and it was fantastic. Unfortunately I don’t think any money has been spent on the property since then. The gym is exactly the same, dated and none of the cardio machines work properly. I saw rats in the corridor on a couple of occasions, which is very off putting with regards to ever staying here again. The staff are all fantastic and cannot do enough for the customers but the hotel is one I won’t be visiting again unless it gets a complete facelift.

I stayed in the Dalesman Suite. Spacious and comfortable.
All staff from the reception, restaurant and housemaid service are always smiling and ready to help.
Central location, walking distance from the beach and Patong Walking Street.
The food in the restaurant is very good, a special mention for Amy, who I actually thought was the restaurant manager, but she is in fact just a great waitress.
Will definitely stay again.

Great staff and location. Close to all attractions in the area, and easy to book day trips to the islands. The staff here were extremely friendly and always helpful when we needed anything. Great pool and gym has all you need for a good workout. Gym is important to me and it met needs. Dumbells up to 100 pounds and flat bench press etc. Thanks for a great stay!

Incompetent staff. They lie to you. Told us we could use the pool if we were buying drinks. Was only meant to stay half an hour. Thought okay that’s fair. They waited until we bought our drinks and then told us we had to pay to use the pool. They’re con artists. Avoid!

Room is bad but pool and locations is good

Excellent hotel, stayed for 2 weeks and highly recommend this hotel. Great choice of rooms, everyone friendly and deliver an excellent service. Fantastic pool area, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi to chill and relax.
Close to everything but also far enough away if you want it quiet. Brilliant on site gym facility. Super food and bar area.
I will be going again soon.

Seriously, listen… this little gem is perfect for those wanting the ladies (and ladyboys) holiday. It’s a great hotel, the staff wonderful, the food wide ranging and good… but on top of it all, You’re walking distance from Everything, night market ? 5 minute stroll.Thai boxing ? Five minutes.
How many bars in 5 minutes ? Hundreds. Restaurants? More than hundreds.
Jungcelon ? Two minutes. Bangla Waliking Street ? Two minutes
Two weeks and spent Zero on taxis or transport. Shanks pony is all you need here.
Love it. Going back next year.

A great hotel a couple minutes walk away from Bangla Road. Nice clean spacious room. From reception staff, clean staff to bar staff were friendly and helpful always with a smile. It can get noisy on a night with guests coming back late. Food was great and the service provided was excellent. Had a pool and gym facilities which is good.

The room was comfortable, not fancy but functional. Staff was friendly. At night, the music from the club below is very loud! Needed to use ear plugs to sleep.

O chuveiro da um jato de agua forte q cada 30 segundos, depois ele vai ficando fraco sendo um ciclo q cada 30 segundos.

O quarto nao tem janela, ela existe porem sao cortinas fixas que nao abrem, ou seja sem janela.

So fique nesse hotel se você estiver muito sem dinheiro para outras opções, junte mais alguns baths e vá para outro lugar melhor

Comfortable and clean stay. Appreciate that most staffs at the front desk are able to speak good english and being helpful.

The downside is that as the area is near to many happening bars, it gets noisy from about 12am to early morning. The hotel do provides ear plug.

I’ve been to Patong many times and can honestly say this is the best place I’ve stayed in and will definitely be coming back. There are so many staff that you want for nothing. They are so friendly that sometimes you don’t even want to go to bangla road. Won’t hear a bad word said about the place. I’ve seen other reviews where people say that there is noise to stop them sleeping, but I don’t know if I was lucky with my room, but I didn’t hear a thing. Honestly sad to leave.
