If I was not in town for a funeral I would have left.
Pros:

There was a horrible 'Burn' smell throughout the hotel, and on my floor and in my room; the staff was aware of the odor. I woke the next morning with a terrible headache from the smell. The breakfast the next morning that I paid for was terrible compared to a free breakfast I received at a hotel in Detroit the prior day.

Cons:

I did not like the smell, it physically got me sick.

Friendly staff, but room not the cleanest
Pros:

The breakfast was great – the staff was wonderful and helpful. Front desk staff was similarly kind and helpful, and the location proximity to downtown Canandaigua was great.

Cons:

The room wasn't clean – nothing grosses me out more than finding numerous hairs that do not belong to me or my partner, and it was outdated and in need of some general fixing up. For what we paid, I expected more.

We were very comfortable during our stay!
Pros:

The elevated toilet & handheld shower are a great help!
Beds are really comfortable!
The breakfast buffet is very good - especially the eggs & Cinnabuns!

Cons:

The drain in sink is slow in room 316.

Close to everything in canandaigua the room was clean too

Cons:

Bed was too soft and lumpy. Few options for food if dairy free. Such as no milk subs for coffee.

Good little getaway

The only thing that bothered us during our stay was just noisy neighbors they kept opening and slamming their door closed what seemed like all night

Perfect location on Rte 20 and having Wegman’s across the street is great.
Pros:

Location, Breakfast buffet had better options than most breakfast included stays. All the employees that worked there were pleasant and helpful. Very nice facility.

Good beds and convenient location
Pros:

this hotel surprise me with the quality bedding, well organized furniture, ability to place more than one bag on stands, pretty good shower, it's rural location but very close to the town

Cons:

the windows are sealed units, you cannot get even 1 inches of fresh air in. In a weather like this October this was painful and interfered with our sleep.

We would come back to the area and make reservations there
Pros:

The breakfast was really terrific. Lots of variety. Pretty good quality. Lots of space to eat. Our room was clean. The staff was nice.

Cons:

We were super disappointed that the pool wasn't working which is why we chose that hotel but the manager gave us a discount on our bill because of that which we thought was good customer service .

Mostly good
Pros:

The included breakfast was great. It had a lot of options from cereal and muffins to hot meals like scrambled eggs, omelettes, pancakes, and warm cinnamon rolls. The room was a nice space and had a desk that you could move where you needed. The air-conditioner was nice and quiet so it didn't wake you up when it kicked in. Beds were firm, but not too much for us. The bathroom was nice and they had complimentary bottles of lotion, soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.

Cons:

Where the toilet paper dispenser was located was awkward and I bet anyone with mobility issues with their arms or shoulders would have a hard time reaching back behind you to get it. My mom (84yo) would have appreciated a handle bar on the other side of the shower. There was only one by the faucet/shower side, which made it awkward to get into with the shower going. I only used the pool once, but the room was oddly extremely hot and humid, which I think made the pool itself feel pretty cold. It wasn't the cleanest either, with a good amount of black dirt on the bottom. There were a few upkeep issues, like the trim or doors being chipped or banged up, some plugins didn't work and the toilet would sometimes keep running until we lifted up the handle.
