I am rating this hotel 1 star for its lack of cleanliness and consideration. Bathrooms were dirty and there were no AC in the conference room - even though they know we were coming. They should know we need one - we eventually asked them and they brought 2 fans.
The hotel is in the Arab quarter of Jerusalem, which means that shops and restaurants are open on Fridays and Saturdays. The reception staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. No complaints about the room or condition. Rooftop swimming pool would be great when the weather is warmer. Nearby there is the wonderful Armenia Ceramic Workshop, perfect for gifts. And to eat there is the American Colony and the Jerusalem Hotel, the staff at the latter are lovely. For decent coffee try Nordic Coffee, just up the road towards the American Colony or the Educational Bookshop in the other direction towards the Old City.
Well situated to the Old City
Bed Bugs everywhere
Checked in late, and went to bed half asleep without noticing what I am getting into. The next morning I woke up to see bed bugs everywhere, and dry blood stains on sheet and pillows as in pictures, indicating sheets were not changed that day for me as a new guest. It was simply disgusting and ugly and health threatening. Consulted an expert on the subject and he strongly advised that I should throw away all my clothes, bag, suitcase,, everything I had in that room otherwise bugs eggs could spread in my house after I return, which would be hard to get rid off.. and I did exactly that. Threw everything,,, clothes of brand names. I have been stressed from the experience and had so much nightmares. Asked the hotel to compensate me for my belongings and pain. But no one is responding. GM read my messages but says little. It was my worst hotel experience ever. Even considering going to court.
Great hotel with a pool for the kids. The staff are amazing! I will definitely stay here again.
The hotel location was not great for walking and local taxi fares were quite expensive. The rooms and facilities were very average. The buffet breakfast and dinner were not very appetising. There was a nice view from the pool area on 5th floor.
The saving grace for this hotel was their staff who are well trained and very obliging.
Great hotel with friendly service. Ramzy the hotel general manager was attentive and polite to guests. Only 15 minute walk to Holy sepulchre church through Damascus gate. Breakfast and dinner had very good selection of tasty food. Rooms comfortable and clean.
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Thank you!
Staff very friendly and helpful.
The pool is very good and well looked after.
The rooms are spacious but very tired. The bathroom required complete modernisation, it was almost impossible to have a shower and it was virtually a drip coming out and hard to control the temperature.
Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The room was very clean, and the staff was friendly. The hotel is in a good location. Well located walking distance of many tourist and popular sights. Additionally, easy access for many needs and nearby to basic facilities such as local deli's, banks, and corner stores

The Hotel is old and there were some issues like water pressure electricity failure and slow elevators. TV is old.
The Staff was reasonable but not so attentive. Calls for room service went unattended.
Breakfast was decent.
Location is good.
I don't think I have stayed in such a friendly hotel in a long time.
Julius on the front desk was without doubt superb. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He was a fountain of knowledge .
Charlie, the Head Waiter was equally accommodating.
Our room was cleaned to perfection every single day.
The food was delicious and most appetising.
I’m traveling often in Jerusalem and this hotel offers one of the best quality/price in the area.
Had a pleasant stay at St George's Hotel as part of our grp tour. Loved that our room had a balcony. Ample food selection during buffet dining. Extremely grateful with the prompt help rendered by front desk officer on duty, Ahmed & IT Staff, Musa when my husband & I needed to use the computer at the basement. Was impressed with both their efficiency in setting up the workstation for our use. Touched by their level of service!
Nice clean property. Welcoming staff and great location
Easy access to the Garden Tomb and the Old City. Staff very friendly and efficient.
Good location. Staff very friendly. Limited dining within easy walking distance.
My room was large, clean and comfortable. Service was fantastic. I thought I lost a suitcase and they bent over backwards to help me find it. We did find it.
The restaurant had very good food despite having tour groups pass through.
The St. George is right near some of the top city hotels and close to the Old City.
TV never work for the week we were there with the staff was great but they never fix the TV
Great little hotel very close to the old town in Jerusalem - very friendly helpful staff
Good value for money
