I liked that I was able to open the sliding window for fresh air! Great views 😄
The room was a little small, but very clean.
The staff were absolutely amazing. Kind, caring and attentive.
The main areas were a little dirty but it’s to be expected with the volume of people going in and out of the building
Room clean and well-equipped. Decent light.
Adequate staff to find someone when needed. All kind, helpful, discreet etc.
Outside room equipment in all other places were basic (eg some chairs in breakfast with tears on seating cushion, some a bit shaky) but nothing malfunctioning or making me feel worried. More of a thing that hit on the eye than actually reducing functionality. I put that on things I liked bcz the entire philosophy seemed to be focus-where-really-matters, save from the rest. Which is sth that ultimately pass to their clients as well given that it was a relatively affordable option in NYC and this was my main criterion to book. Still price seemed high for what it is but given location and exorbitant prices in Manhattan I give it a pass
Offered to store our luggage until the room is ready which is sth we think everyone values high.
Last, very good welcome cookies
Breakfast was really average. No shortages but not big variety and, as usual I guess, when it comes to meat there was only bacon. Not even those fake sausages that other hotels provide. Anyways, not a big thing for me since had all the standard breakfast choices.
What was a big issue is that the milk they had in breakfast had actually gone bad. I told to the staff and they quickly removed it but replaced only 1 out of 4-5 bottles of milk that they had. Later I saw milk being delivered to the hotel so I thought that the main blame is to fall on the supply lines of the hotel. Still, staff should check before put it on the table for us.
Another serious thing was that although it was stated in their booking page that babies sleep for free when we requested a crib for a 1-year old baby after booking we were told "subject to availability". How then they expect a baby to sleep? In the bed?
Anyway, they did offer us a crib so I thing my critique here is that they must accept that if want to say babies free they need to secure a supply of a crib and communicate that certainty to the client bcz is a necessity. The other thing with the crib, was that it was rather short. And old but since I don't buy it I prefer to look the bright side of things and say "my baby enjoys a retro crib from some hospital of the 60s". But the size of it was sth serious. The baby could tightly fit but when stretched was hitting the sides. It woke up at night 2-3 times and we think that partly bcz of the short crib. The mattress had no issues.
Very clean and convenient to the venue I was going to that evening
