Fairmont Makati

I stayed here recently for my school prom. While the room was clean and the amenities were nice, the service was a huge letdown.

We were told to expect a discount or upgrade as students of my school, but the front desk flat-out denied it. What made it worse was seeing classmates who booked the same dates get upgrades. When we asked why, the staff gave us conflicting excuses about 'membership' and 'availability'—even though we checked in earlier than the other group and neither of us had any membership status.

It honestly felt like the staff was picking and choosing who gets good service. It’s disheartening to feel treated differently at a hotel that’s supposed to be 'prestigious.' I’ve seen other reviews mentioning this exact same issue, so it clearly wasn’t just us.

Management really needs to fix how they train their staff and make sure they’re actually following through on the promos they promise. Not the kind of experience I expected at all.

I’ve stayed many occasions at Fairmont and never disappoint. The customer service here is exceptional. On our recent visit, the service was personable and the staff made you feel very special. Special shoutout to the ladies in Erika, Marian and Pauline (Writers Bar Team) for their hospitality and attentiveness.
Goes without saying, the amenities are beautiful. The atmosphere is calming and relaxing. We stayed at Raffles so the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable.
Location wise, very convenient to shopping centres, restaurants and only 15 minutes from NAIA airport.
Overall, Fairmont is always the choice for myself and family for our stay in Manila.

* Comfortable bed - The bed was very comfortable, which made the stay pleasant overall

Very nice hotel. The staff is incredibly courteous and helpful — truly an army of people making sure everything runs smoothly. The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options for both Western and Asian tastes. Lots of variety and everything well prepared.

Everything was perfect. Complimentary upgrade to a suite was amazing. Butler service, clean room, amazing amenities and beautiful breakfast

Went during Manila Pen Show/overnight layover to Cebu. The staff went above and beyond to make sure you have a memorable experience. From check in to check out, everything was smooth and efficient. Very thoughtful staff. They truly made our stay so memorable and they were the ones that stood out to me. The pool was great too! Will definitely come back again.

Everything from the help of Ms Sherlyn until the table and food preparation was perfect. The food, diverse as it may be, was well thought-of and very delicious.

The only comment about the food I have is that the Beef Carving (Sirloin) should be cooked medium rare first, not medium already because there are some people like me who want our beef Medium Rare in doneness.

Recently stayed at Fairmont Makati and I have to give special recognition to KC from the concierge team.
His service was truly outstanding and warm, professional, and incredibly attentive.

He went above and beyond to make sure everything was seamless, and his recommendations and assistance made a real difference to our stay.

While visiting the lobby pastry store, I was greeted by Kath. She was very courteous, professional and Kath’s customer service was among the very best I have ever experienced. Having Kath as a member of the Fairmont team is one reason that keeps returning to Fairmont Makati as my favorite accommodation and a true testament of Fairmont Makati commitment to excellence. The Fairmont Makati team made our 20th wedding anniversary truly special. From the excellent, spacious room to the consistently proactive and attentive service, everything was thoughtfully prepared. We were especially touched by the surprise setup waiting for us when we returned to our room. It made the celebration even more memorable.

We also enjoyed the lunch buffet, which was as sumptuous and satisfying as always. Over the years, this has become our go-to place for anniversaries because of the consistently wonderful experience.

The location is brilliant—literally steps away from the Greenbelt malls, making shopping and dining incredibly easy. My room was huge, stunning and felt truly luxurious, providing the perfect space to unwind. What really sets this hotel apart, though, is the Filipino hospitality. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely make you feel welcome.
Easily one of the best stays I’ve ever had!
