Hotel Lumberjack - Sonora

The room absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. It was horrible. All of our belongings had to be washed because the smell permeated everything. The shampoo was empty and the breakfast was very lack luster.

The hotel was clean, with comfy beds. The rooms were spacious and well furnished even including a microwave. There’s convenient parking right outside and the location couldn’t be better! It’s right in the middle of Sonora with walking access to the highstreet shops and restaurants/cafes but off the high street so it’s quiet. Great to have access to a lovely pool with the heat!

De locatie is top en de mevrouw die ons incheckte superaardig. Het is verder een opgeknapt motel, prima voor een nachtje. Het was wel echt jammer dat het zwembad was gesloten, het feit dat de kinderen even konden zwemmen na een lange dag in de auto was 1 van de redenen dat we dit hotel hadden geboekt. Het ontbijt moet je niet veel van verwachten, maar ach. Het restaurant aan de overkant (Armory) is leuk en je krijgt 10% korting omdat je in Lumberjack verblijft. Al met al, een prima stop.

I had a positive check in experience at the Historic Sonora Inn, but unfortunately everything went downhill once we walked next door to their sister property, Hotel Lumberjack.
As soon as we opened the door to our room, we noticed several cleanliness issues. Although the bed appeared to be made, there was hair all over the bedding, and the comforter had what looked like dried snot on it. The bathroom sink barely drained, the bathroom door wouldn't close properly, the shower was dirty, the floors were filthy, and the towels didn't appear to be clean. It was so unsanitary that we didn't even feel comfortable taking our shoes off. I immediately went to the front desk and asked to be moved to another room. While they did relocate us, the second room wasn't much better. The sheets hadn't even been made, which made us question whether the rooms were being properly cleaned at all. Since we were traveling with two small children, checking out and finding another hotel late in the day wasn't convenient, so we decided to make the best of it. Unfortunately, our night only got worse. Around midnight, there was a great deal of noise coming from the parking lot, making it difficult for our family to sleep. On top of that, the air conditioning unit was incredibly loud. I honestly don't understand how this hotel could have been recently renovated yet have so many maintenance and cleanliness issues. The online photos are very misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the property. I also spoke with the front desk manager Brianne regarding my concerns, but I didn't feel that my complaints were taken seriously or handled with much care.
This was, without a doubt, one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Between the lack of cleanliness, maintenance problems, noise, and poor overall experience, I cannot recommend Hotel Lumberjack. If I could give it a negative one-star rating, I would.

Muy limpio , muy cerca de restaurantes ,del banco , puedes hacer muchas cosas caminando. Todo parece recién remodelado .las sábanas ,las toallas parecen nuevas .

Location

It was a very pretty area and the actual hotel rooms were newly furnished. The staff said they were made just 5 years ago and are their most loved spaces. The King rooms were wonderful!

breakfast was adequate and the location was okay. One street over from the main throughfare. But the check-in clerk was pleasant and offered me a place in which to eat, which was great.
