The areas affected are the main entrance, lobby and reception, with work also being undertaken in some accommodations wings. This will also affect access to the rear car park of the building. During this period, guests with limited mobility can still check-in via the main reception and get access to the second floor via the parking lot elevator. Pros:

Great location. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. I liked that the front desk was nearly always staffed. The restaurant was really good value and nice food too

Cons:

Quite tired and dated. Bathroom smelled very musty. Pink mould in shower. Didn’t service our room. View was of the roof of a neighbouring building :-(

Adequate for quick overnight stay
Pros:

Adequate for quick overnight stay to break the journey after leaving Auckland at 5pm, heading to Waitomo caves the next morning.

Cons:

Car park was functional, but a bit tricky for positioning your car with the other cars, depending on how others parked. We had to manouver somewhat to back out on departure. Parking skills improved ;)

Centrally located and close to Skycity and shopping. Comfortable overnight accommodation.
Pros:

We were given an accessible room with a recently updated bathroom. Centrally located and close to Skycity and shopping.

Cons:

Limited carparking - unable to book a guaranteed spot as full so had to take chance with first come/first served basis and managed to get an off street park but were then unable to move it . No view at all from windows - blank wall. Old building, old lifts and a maze of corridors.
