The first room I was booked smelled like pee.
The second room was good but bathroom was dirty.
The women that work there were mean to the lady working the front desk.
I always use this hotel when I come for business. The staff is friendly, the breakfast decent, and it's clean and quiet.
The pool and hot tub are never available. I've been here at least 8 times and its always broke or being cleaned for the 2 to 3 days I usually stay.
The Positive: The Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Minot has a good location with a lot of food options nearby.
Now for the rest: The staff was helpful although a bit muddled. After much confusion, we were assigned a room for our reservation. The room had a queen bed with just enough room to walk around it. They had the window seat. There was only overhead lighting, no lamps. The only charging station had just 2 ports, located on the desk/counter. The desk/counter had 1 red conference chair. They did let us use a folding chair. The bathroom was a decent size with a good , hot shower. We could hear every car and motorcycle as they drove through their parking lot. The breakfast was basic. Waffles were the only hot item.
The location was good and close to decent restaurants. The staff did there best with trying to fix all of the many issues that arose from the checking in to the very end of my 5 night stay.
This hotel is poorly maintained and very dirty. The chairs in the dining area are filthy, along with the sofa in the room. The corners of the bathroom had dirt in them. The jetted tub had grit in it on the sides so I did not feel it was a good idea to use it. I specifically paid for this room type initially and when I arrived I was told it was out of order do they put me in a lesser room, with a dirty sofa. The next day the GM told me that the room I had paid for was not out of order it just hadn't been cleaned. She then got the room I had paid for cleaned and moved me to that room. I never used the jetted tub because it was not cleaned properly. The offerings at breakfast are questionable and what they do offer is not maintained properly. They do not offer any healthy options to speak of especially for people who are diabetic. They did have sugar free syrup for the waffles. There is a small refrigerator in the room so I did go to the grocery store to have some items on hand that could accommodate me since I am gluten intolerant. The GM there is doing her best, but honestly the owners have her preforming housekeeping, maintenance and anything else that needed attention. This is the first time I have ever seen a GM show up to work everyday I stayed there in sweatshirt and sweat pants. The staff blamed everything on covid and I told them covid has been over for years, it can't be your forever excuse for your poorly run business. I retired from the hotel industry after 40 years and this hotel should not be flying the Wyndham flag! When I checked the mattress condition under the mattress cover and sheets, it was filthy. The rooms smell like feet! They changed my room and the second room smelled like feet too. I suggested to the manager that they should shampoo the carpets. This is definitely not a 3 star hotel as is shown. Maybe a 1 or 2, if that. It was more like a Motel 6.
easy to find the facility
breakfast could include eggs, bacon, sausage, home fried potatoes, biscuits
Pretty clean, older building so not much for outlets. Pool and hot tub are under construction and closed and have been most of the year. Hotel is full and even at capacity it seemed pretty quiet.
Was clean. Very continental breakfast. Easy to get to. Right across from Walmart
The location
Pool was “broken” and sounded like it had been for a while and would have been nice to know while booking. And the breakfast was a joke. Pancake and waffle makers were “broken”. Hardly any muffins and just toast and cereal and the OJ tasted like it was rotten.
Conveniently located, fairly clean.
Every thing seemed a bit cramped, might have been how it is decorated but it just felt. Like there was too much “stuff” everywhere. The pool and spa were closed and breakfast was meager. Pure carbohydrates, not a protein in sight.
The room was clean. The front desk staff were friendly and heplful.
I am Gluten intolerant, so the breakfast lacks options.
