Very enjoyable and special birthday break
Pros:

We stayed overnight here on my husband's birthday. Newly refurbished hotel is fabulous. The Lord Nelson room on the second floor was luxurious and had everything we needed for a comfortably stay. There was even a box of chocolates and a birthday card from the management the room. A thoughtful touch.
Tim the chef produces the best meals we've very eaten in a Coaching Inn and we've stayed in 17 of them over the decades. The steak was cooked perfection as was my lamb and the veg were al dente as we like them. Breakfast was delicious and well presented the plate. All cooked to order and hot. The staff were welcoming and friendly especially Dylan booking the bar. The young blonde waitress at dinner was very helpful and friendly. We had a lovely conversation about the book I was reading Wuthering Heights. She had recently beto see the film.
The coffee and homemade were delicious and we are returning here for another overnight stay on Mothers Day. The Coaching Inn group rightly deserves their Hotel group of year award. Whatever they do in their hotels is with great thought to comfort of their guests and visitors. Team members are well trained in hospitality and speak with pride about working in this establishment. From our experience they are both professional , welcoming and friendly. That's what makes us keep returning for more!

Lovely hotel, friendly staff
Pros:

Had the best weekend! Rooms were spotless, staff were really friendly. would like to give a shout out to Dillon who sorted our one and only issue with professionalism and care. He made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast could’ve been served a little quicker and my poached eggs were solid but overall a lovely hotel, would definitely visit again!
