Overall good price to value
Pros:

- spacious rooms and bathrooms
- excellent breakfast (did not expect any real western choices, but for a hotel in the middle of china we were really positively surprised)
- very friendly staff
- nice amenities and everything well kept

Cons:

- the outdoor pool had no water, despite it still being more than 30 degrees Celsius outside - swimming season here apparently ends end of August, but we didn't know that before and were extremely disappointed. Despite lengthy discussions also no sunbeds or anything we could have laid on in the garden were produced. Overall it says here on the booking site this hotel has a pool (to be fair it says seasonally, but only if you click on it), sunbeds, a whirlpool and a spa and none of these other facilities exist either to my knowledge, as we were directed to another hotel, which has whirlpools and sunbeds and massages and such. We were produced with some moon cakes and coffee as an apology, but the hotel should make sure to give correct information on booking.
- make sure to know whether you paid beforehand or not - when I tried to pay I was told I had paid already, which turned out to be a mistake on the hotels side and it was quite a hassel to pay then from afar. Staff was quite polite and patient though.
- carpet urgently needs a processional cleaning.
