Extremely Disappointing Experience – Appalling Customer Service

I chose Best Western based on its positive reviews, expecting a comfortable stay, a peaceful environment and a reasonable standard of customer service. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing and has completely undermined my confidence in this hotel.

Although I was treated respectfully upon arrival and the initial service was good, the experience took a significant turn for the worse this morning.

For several hours, I had to endure continuous, excessive banging that sounded like construction or maintenance work. This was incredibly disruptive and completely unacceptable when paying to stay in a hotel where you expect to be able to relax and enjoy some peace.

What makes this situation even worse is the hotel’s response, or rather, the lack of one. I contacted reception on several occasions to report the ongoing noise, yet nothing effective was done to resolve the situation. Repeatedly raising a legitimate complaint only to be left listening to the same relentless banging is not what I would describe as acceptable customer service.

I appreciate that maintenance work may sometimes be necessary, but there is absolutely no excuse for failing to respond appropriately when a paying guest repeatedly reports a serious disturbance. Guests should not have to spend their stay chasing reception for basic consideration and common courtesy.

The biggest disappointment is the contrast between the positive reviews that encouraged me to book and the actual experience I have received. First impressions mean very little if the hotel cannot demonstrate the same standard of service when something goes wrong.

I expected far better from Best Western. Instead, I have been left frustrated, dissatisfied and questioning whether the positive reviews genuinely reflect the experience guests can expect.
