Le Sen Boutique Hotel

Le Sen is a small hotel with a pool, restaurant, bar and spa. Every day we enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant, lots of delicious options. My husband and I had one of the best massages ever. The spacious room, with outdoor bath was spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the resort. Nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff. We took advantage of the shuttle service into town, which wasn’t far, but far too hot and humid to walk to dinner. We would highly recommend staying at Le Sen.

As someone deeply interested in the Secret War in Laos and the Ho Chi Minh Trail, I wasn’t expecting to find such knowledgeable assistance at a boutique hotel.

During my stay at Le Sen Boutique Hotel, the Operations Manager, Vard, took the time to understand my interests and arranged a private trip to Xiengkhouang and the Plain of Jars, including sites that reveal the history of the Secret War. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned and made my visit to Laos far more meaningful than I had imagined.

When I mentioned that I was looking for books about Laos and the Secret War, he even visited the Luang Prabang Provincial Library to find a copy of Stalking the Elephant Kings for me to borrow. It was an incredibly thoughtful gesture that I truly appreciated.

This is the kind of hospitality that goes beyond excellent service. It is genuine passion, local knowledge, and a sincere desire to help guests understand the country they are visiting.

If you are interested in the history, culture, and lesser-known stories of Laos, I highly recommend staying at Le Sen Boutique Hotel. It is more than just a beautiful place to stay—it is a place where the staff genuinely help you discover the real Laos.

Le Sen is a wonderful hotel. We stayed two weeks, and every day was a pleasure. It’s not only a comfortable and nicely designed small hotel, its professional staff have created an atmosphere of personal service, and generosity. Anything that could be done to make our stay comfortable was done, sometimes before we even thought of it ourselves.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We traveled during the low season for tourists so it was quiet. The room was clean and everything for our needs. The restaurant was very good, especially the breakfast. The staff was friendly and attentive. We would stay there again if we go back to Luang Prabang.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough.

What truly made our experience special were all the thoughtful little touches throughout our stay. Our room was serviced at least twice a day, and we were regularly surprised with lovely small gifts such as sweet sticky rice treats, brownies, cookies, and other delicious snacks. These gestures made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for.

From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We were even treated to a complimentary foot massage upon arrival, which was such a sweet and memorable way to start our stay.

The hotel itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable. Every member of the staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality was truly outstanding and made us feel at home throughout our visit.

Thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful experience. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Laos.

Exceptional hotel! From the staff and accommodations to the food, drinks, and amenities, we absolutely loved our stay here.

We were celebrating both our honeymoon and my husband's 40th birthday, and the entire team made our visit incredibly special and memorable. The kitchen staff, front desk team, and housekeeping crew consistently went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect.

We stayed in one of the villas, which was beautiful and well-appointed. We also enjoyed massages with On and Souk, who left us feeling both relaxed and rejuvenated. Mr. Keo and Mr. Phon made breakfast a highlight each morning, always ensuring everything was just to our liking.

The property is exceptionally well maintained. The rooms, grounds, and amenities were spotless, and the pool was pristine throughout our stay. The gym was surprisingly well equipped and offered everything needed for a solid strength-training workout—even a great setup for HYROX enthusiasts.

The hotel offers airport transfers for a fee, as well as a complimentary shuttle into town. While we preferred exploring on our own schedule, the shuttle service looked excellent, with a well-maintained vehicle and a very friendly driver.

The location was ideal—tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, close enough to all the attractions while remaining removed from the noise of the main road and night market.

The food and cocktails were excellent, our bed was incredibly comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and even the toiletries were a delight. As someone who is gluten-free, I especially appreciated the staff's willingness to accommodate my dietary needs and ensure I felt comfortable dining throughout our stay.

We truly hope to return one day. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so wonderful. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Everything exceeded our expectations! Ben and his team made sure our stay was as comfortable and serene as it could be. I love how Le Sen Boutique values environmental sustainability (The happy birthday message for my partner was written in flowers and leaves 💚), and the breakfast options were plenty and so healthy. It's one of the rare properties that once you check in, you just want to keep coming back to.
