The hotel, staff, and service at this hotel is first class! I was helped by Albert at the front desk who was nothing short of exceptional, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend it.
A good place for short stay and close to all the amenities near by.
Friendly staff.
Decent breakfast and a good bar attached to the hotel.
The staff & facilities at Hotel Indigo were amazing! It’s hard to know what to expect when you book someplace online but we were not disappointed! Our transfer arrangements for pickup and drop off were handled smoothly and efficiently. Communication was quick and accurate. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and bilingual so there was no language barriers. They even provided us with a complimentary boxed breakfast when we had to leave for the airport before their restaurant opened in the morning. The hotel is within walking distance of the Hop On Hop Off pickup/dropoff (about 2.5 blocks-10-15 minutes depending on how quick you walk). Highly recommended!
My partner and I chose to stay in this hotel due to our IHG membership and were very happy we did. The staff are helpful and friendly, comfortable room bed, and amenities, and nicely decorated. The location is brilliant. Walking distance to many Barcelona tourist attractions and close to the Passeig Gracia Metro if needed, but just off the busy Las Ramblas, so reasonably quiet. Would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend.
We could not get a drink or food on Saturday 11th October because there was a speed-dating event being held in the hotel which apparently occupied the whole ground floor area.
I was unceremoniously told to leave the area with no possibility of having a drink, despite being a resident of the hotel.
To make matters worse, as a member of the IHG group, I was offered a free drink at check-in but of course was unable to get one because of the above event.
The room was fine but we noticed the TV had over 70 channels named, but most were unavailable (no signal) and there was only one English-speaking channel (CNN).
The hotel is in a good location and most of the staff were friendly and efficient - with the exception of one individual.
I don't believe the hotel should host events which exclude residents from the bar and restaurant.
If you're going to stay, you may want to check if other such events are planned.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and quaint.
The staff was really friendly and helpful when asking about dining recommendations. Cute rooms, clean, and quiet.
Great central hotel in Barcelona. Perfect for our one night stay. We wish we were staying longer. Didn’t look much from the outside but once you got inside it was a different story. The staff were very friendly and helpful Aphnik check us in and took our luggage to mind while we waited on our room as it wasn’t ready as we checked in very early. We looked around the hotel and went outside to the pool area. It was like an oasis in the city centre. Beautiful seating area with a medium size pool. There was plenty of seating and on the next level a terrace with plenty of sunbeds and a gym. We were pleasantly surprised. When we got our room we were upgraded to an executive room which was really great. The room was big with a separate seating area and wardrobe. There was complimentary snacks and bottled water. The bed was huge. The bathroom was big too a little worse for wear in the shower door area. But it was a powerful shower. We also had our own terrace outside our room with a table and two chairs and two sunbeds. We had breakfast the next morning in the restaurant and it was very good had lots of variety of foods and it was plentiful. Overall we had a great time and would definitely recommend the Hotel Indigo as it was within walking distance to restaurants and shopping and bars.
We are visiting Barcelona at the beginning of September so I scrolled through my Trip Advisor reviews to find a suitable hotel. That was the moment I realised that I had not written a review for the Indigo when we stayed there in May 25.
The staff greeted us warmly and we were allocated a room overlooking the pool area. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of hot and cold options.
When we checked out the reception staff ensured the taxi driver knew our destination.
Overall a great stay.
Next job - check we can reserve a room for our September trip!
Good hotel within easy walkable distance to main shopping areas. Staff was great and delivered good customer service. Only thing is for them to improve is thier breakfast options. Maybe include more hot food options.
Hotel is very clean. The staff is friendly. Great place to stay.
Indigo Hotel(near placa catalunya) is perfectly located within walking distance from Sagrada, casa Batlo, La Rambla and has metro station, bus stops all within 100 m . Staff absolutely fabulous. The rooms are perfect size,Expresso machine in the rooms is a nice touch.
Swimming pool a bit small, but was never crowded (everyone is out and about).
For us was perfect.
This was our first time visiting Barcelona for our Mediterranean cruise from the Barcelona cruise port to Cadiz, Lisbon, Porto and Morocco. We stayed at the IHG Hotel Indigo Barcelona Plaza Catalunya for two nights prior to our cruise from Barcelona’s cruise terminal. I loved the Plaza Catalunya area. As I previously reviewed, our airport taxi driver had trouble locating our IHG Hotel Indigo. The IHG Hotel Indigo is a four-star superior hotel, with design and decor that takes inspiration from the neighborhood’s architectural masterpieces. Take, for instance, their Gaudí-inspired lobby and guest room murals, and the patterned fabrics and artwork that showcase the community’s history. Outside their doors, it’s a short walk to the Gaudí original Casa Batlló as well as the cafes and street performers of La Rambla, the Temple de la Sagrada Familia, and countless shops and boutiques.
When we checked in early at the front desk I was recognized as IHG Platinum Elite. Since we had an overnight flight from EWR Newark to Barcelona we arrived at the hotel in the early morning so we had to wait for our rooms to become available later that morning. We waited outside in their courtyard in the shade. At the IHG Hotel Indigo Barcelona Cocktail & Snack Bar, you may enjoy a drink or a snack after a day of exploring. The bar staff here were very nice. We stopped here to pick up some drinks before sleeping. Their poolside terrace is a perfect place to soak up the atmosphere over a glass of local cava. Our king bedroom #108 overlooking the pool included breakfast. I loved our room, because it had a very high ceiling and was at the end of the hallway on the quiet courtyard. We had an outside patio area with lounge chairs overlooking the courtyard. Our room rate included two daily breakfasts, which were very nice. See my many pics. I enjoyed my daily cappuccino, freshly cooked eggs, local bacon, sausage and local Spanish ham. My hotel cost was 403 Euros per night or 806 Euros for our two night stay or $964.34 (USA) in total. Including our bar bill my total hotel cost was 830 Euros or additional $45.01 USA. The hotel was in a great location near the major center of shopping and dining. I love tapas. See my prior two local restaurant reviews. The hotel staff here were very nice. They arranged a very large taxi to take the four of us including our four large luggages from the hotel to the Barcelona Celebrity cruise port. I would return here again. More to come regarding our Celebrity cruise port experience.
Fantastic staff!! Lovely bedroom, clean and facilities were fab!
Great location for Ramblas, restaurants, shopping and transport.
A fantastic hotel so close to the heart of Barcelona. Very child friendly with an amazing breakfast with so many choices and options and such polite and cheerful staff.
The pool was a welcome addition after a hot day sight seeing and the rooms were so comfortable.
An excellent base to explore the city.
Wonderful staff. Delicious riom service. Great location
Hotel Indigo was a very convenient hotel great location, nice breakfast, small pool (looks bigger in the pictures but is much smaller) but still nice to have that relaxing option. Staff were very helpful in giving directions, maps and recommendations for dining. Only wish they gave earlier check-in options than 3pm. Otherwise ticks all the boxes.
Nice staff and good location. Room for three was a nice size.
we enjoyed staying at the property.
