Location was excellent, easy walk to beach, Bar/Restaurant, shopping centre and public transport.
Apartment was a good size and had everything you needed and was clean.

Cons:

One of the first things I look for when booking accommodation is what facilities that are offered (Eg. Pool, Spa, Gym, Sauna, Restaurant/Cafe etc) and I was looking forward to staying at Santa Anne by the Sea for that reason.
I was looking forward to using the Sauna, then pool and finally the spa in that order to help with my aging bodies aches and pins and trying to get a little bit fitter including my 2 beach walks daily. Imagine my utter surprise and disgust when I first saw those facilities.
Unfortunately I couldn’t access the Sauna due to it being locked and not working, the Spa didn’t have water in it and had been out of action for over 6 months according to some permanent residents that I spoke to and the barbecue was a health disaster. (Refer to photos). A couple of permanent residents also told me that the Sauna and barbecue had been out of action for ages also.
Then there was the somewhat hard mattress on which did me discomfort sleeping each night. I actually put the two blankets on the bed to lay on to help with a bit more comfort. Having a 1 hour massage with dry needles on my back twice during my stay helped me immensely.

Great location, residents who lived there were friendly and the outdoors was kept lovely

Cons:

Furniture needs to be upgraded in the unit I was in. There were actually no staff, and information on the walls was clearly outdated. The unit needed a really good clean, mould on windows, needed a really good mop, walls need to be wiped down, spa and elevator was not working and this was not advised when booking

Cons:

Not very clean, curtains were water stained, mould in the bathroom, cigarette burns in carpet and stains on the kitchen bench.
There was a dog in one of the rooms that barked and cried for 2 hours one of the nights.
The pool is not heated.
Very disappointed in our stay as we stayed there 10 years ago, it was much better than it is now.

Cons:

It was dirty, cockroaches crawling around , the property hadn’t been cleaned from previous occupants, dishwasher hadn’t been emptied, sundries hadn’t been replenished. There was a consistent funky smell in the room, A/C filters obviously hadn’t been cleaned in some time.
The shower hand held head was squirting from multiple directions and the mixer tap was damaged therefore making it difficult to adjust.

Comfortable for the period of time we were there

Staff helpful to a certain point, ended up leaving a bag of clothes in the room or so we think and never got a reply from the team, very disappointing, all we wanted to know was if they were there or not
Reception closed the whole time, no one there for the full 10 days we were there

It was a 2 minute walk from the beach, absolutely beautiful location and would definitely recommend to anyone staying by themselves or with family
