An interesting place to be, but not my thing.

A comfortable stay in a great location
Pros:

Loved the location and the kitchen. Self parking at Te Papa was a great option and a good price.

Pros:

The Museum Hotel is what it is, maybe touching 4 star, quirky, staff are friendly but it seems understaffed.
Rooms are pretty basic but ok, good bar, handy to lots of resturants, New World super market 100mts away, heaps of parking in the area if you don't want to pay $50 a night valet.
Just don't expect 5 star.

A 50/50 stay

Location for our event

Cons:

Hotel is starting to get tired, shower was disappointing with main unit broken and only rain head operating. Paid $50nzd for valet parking to have vehicle parked in position that was accessible from roadway, and in morning we just got keys from concierge and retrieved ourselves.

Excellent position - and very comfortable rooms.
Pros:

We had a king studio with harbour views. The bed was very comfortable and the room was incredibly quiet.

Cons:

Would have liked a more comfy chair to sit in and relax
