I really enjoyed my stay at the Refinery Hotel. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about everything the hotel has to offer, including the on-site entertainment. What impressed me most was how quickly they handled an issue while I was out—it was completely taken care of when I got back. That kind of service makes all the difference. I would definitely return.

I went here for business and slowly realized this is where I have to bring my girlfriend the experience that I had Winnie’s jazz bar and the rooftop was spectacular and the size of the room was the biggest I’ve stayed in while staying in NYC. Luckily I brought her a candle from the hotel but I can’t wait to come back with her! Also thank you Bryan for the complimentary upgrade and Rafael for the extra attention to detail

We had an enjoyable experience here. The hospitality was superb! The breakfasts were excellent. They have a great rooftop bar and quality jazz room on lower level. In addition, each of the staff were friendly, attentive and super helpful (especially for me who is handicapped). The concierge, Yamirah was witty and superfriendly and helped process all the details with eficient friendliness.

My husband and I just returned from the wonderful weekend the Refinery Hotel. From before our arrival the concierge was in touch with us, helping us with anything that we needed. They gave us a great deal to upgrade our room to a suite, decorated the room for my husband‘s birthday, and even provided us with a complementary bottle of wine. The service was excellent through and through. The rooftop bar was amazing with delicious drinks. The room was huge, clean, and had wonderful bathroom amenities. We had breakfast in the hotel this morning with the bed-and-breakfast package and it was fantastic. Thank you.Jamilah and Ralph for making our stay wonderful! I can’t forget to mention the complementary wine offered upon check-in. That was a lovely bonus! We will definitely be returning.

Beautiful hotel, the atelier suite was large and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was great. We visited the rooftop bar twice and it was perfect. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating and professional. I will definitely be back. Thank you for a great experience.

My stay at Refinery Hotel was truly wonderful. The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout my visit. The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel feels stylish and elevated. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel taken care of.

Now, I must discuss the bathroom experience…

You step into the shower and are greeted by luxurious Le Labo toiletries, filling the room with that unmistakable luxury fragrance. Suddenly you feel like you’re getting ready in a spa, preparing for a day of glamorous New York adventures. But then…You reach for the hair dryer… and discover it’s REVLON but not just any Revlon hair dryer … one that appears to have been stolen from the local YMCA locker room circa 2004. GASP….Le Labo in the shower and a Revlon hair dryer is the most economically confusing design choice I’ve ever seen.

The contrast is honestly impressive. One moment you’re living your best luxury girl shower life, the next you’re humbly blow drying your hair with something that sounds like it’s preparing for liftoff.

All jokes aside, this hotel is fantastic. The service, cleanliness, and overall experience were excellent, and I would absolutely stay here again.

Love love love this hotel! This is our second time staying here and is always our first choice when we come to NYC. Very cool vibe throughout the hotel - from the rooms to the lounge to the amazing rooftop bar. The staff is always amazing but this trip we were especially wowed by Jamilah at the front desk. She gave us such a warm, friendly welcome and went out of her way each day to make sure we had everything we needed. Don’t waste time trying to decide. Just book the Refinery and you won’t be disappointed!

We always stay at the refinery when we vacation in New York. We had minor issues that were resolved to our complete satisfaction. Customer service was excellent as usual and Jamilah was friendly and engaging. We will continue to stay her for years to come come. True customer experience occurs how the staff responds when the unforeseen happens. The staff handled our stay with professionalism.

My wife and I stay at a lot of hotels each year, but sometimes we have exceptional service that I believe needs to be recognized. Yes, the rooms are great... And yes the scented candles that they always have burning in the lobby are to die for... But I was very impressed with the front desk staff on this stay! Quick shoutout to both Bryan and Jamilah for being so patient and polite with us. Our interactions with them are reason enough for us to return soon!!!

The staff was very helpful with everything from a later checkout to helping navigate the subway system to umbrellas as Mother Nature decided to give us some unexpected rain.

We have stayed at The Refinery multiple times over the past few years. We continue to choose this hotel for a number of reasons including location, room layout/space, and classic decor. What stands out however are the employees. The team at the front desk are always friendly and efficient. The gentlemen at the front door, particularly Ramon and Lamar, are exceptional. They worked hard to ensure I had the help I needed with transportation and luggage but more importantly they treated me with kindness. New York can be cold and impersonal however Ramon made me feel like a friend. That’s notable.

We had four rooms at the refinery hotel. Lauren helped out so much. Everyone is very hospitable there.

I am in midtown quite frequently and have stayed at basically every hotel in the area, the Refinery is by far my favorite. The hotel and rooms are amazing but I'll be completely honest, the individuals working there are truly harmonic people and the reason I always book with them. Every person I have interacted with at the refinery is wonderful, it really makes me feel at home whenever I stay there.

I first discovered the Refinery Hotel in 2013 and have returned time and time again.
Always greeted with warmth, personal attention, above and beyond hospitality, spectacular views of the festively gleaming Empire State Building, live JAZZ bar, Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, stunning views, scrumptious bites and delectable cocktails. Most recently, eager to take in the NYC Christmas magic and my birthday, this boutique hotel, once again, far exceeded my expectations. An easy walk from Penn Station, a mere skip and hop from Bryant Park, Fifth Avenue, Central Park. . .
The Refinery Hotel, a once upon a time hat factory, will have you returning again and again.
