Room was very good. Spa bath was nice and big. Dinner at the restaurant was amazing and made the whole trip worthwhile. Ended up buying a cook book and apron. Defiantly will go back.
The toilet was practically in the shower. The trees in front of the rooms impede the view of the ocean a bit too much at times. The bar downstairs closes too early and essentially forces you to the restaurant upstairs. Would have been nice to eat and drink by the pool and listen to the waves crash on the cliff below a bit longer.
Beautiful location and the rooms were very pretty. Loved the styling. Spa bath was great! Staff were amazing with assisting in a birthday celebration by providing a bottle of free house champagne which was lovely.
King room with ocean views was obstructed by a plant hedge had to stand on chair to see ocean. Paid for ocean views, got plant views. Not happy.

The connecting wall has very poor sound proofing. Neighbour TV on and you can hear it and makes it difficult to sleep. Without being able to fix the wall there should be a general rule of thumb around TV volume after a certain time of day.
Lovely room and facilities. Staff were very friendly and great breakfast!! Would recommend to all family and friends.

Great location, beautiful views from the balconies to the ocean. Great pool, good poolside bar. Restaurant was amazing, Rick Steins menu was very good.
We have stayed at Banisters a few times and its starting to.look a bit shabby round the edges, paint peeling of the stair hand rails, furniture in the room was a little threadbare. Would have expected a little more for the price of the stay.
Location. Loved the big fluffy bath towels and appreciated heated towel rail.
I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner and the restaurant was the reason we stayed here but my husband sadly did not enjoy his at all. He had the signature dish: snapper and he said it was tough and hard to chew
Toilet is “in” the shower so once someone had showered it was awkward using the toilet without your trousers getting wet (especially if you’re a lady). Bathroom extras: no shower cap which is given in all basic motels and really expected more from this calibre establishment.
Had a Nespresso machine but no pods
All in all I don’t think it’s value for money when I compare with other places we stayed on our travels down the coast.

Breakfast could have been explained more.
Such as cost, you have to ask nothing is made obvious. You are told there is a buffet and juice then asked what hot food you want, with no cost explained. Tea and coffee or toast you have to ask for. Could all be a little more forthcoming.
No simple food available in the evening. You have to go out for it. Just some soup and a role would be helpful. When away from home food can be fancy and rich, which is nice, but something simple often helps keep a settled stomach.

The location was as expected and the meals at restaurant were great. The breakfasts were superb.
The staff were only ordinary in bar and reception.
The customer service is exceptional! Very attentive staff at reception and admin. They have accommodated our request related to the payment re-arrangement and provided support even after our stay. The room was beautiful with complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and homemade artisan chocolate with a birthday note on arrival which was a lovely touch. The venue restaurants were great with plenty of options and again great customer service.
Thank you, we will be back with our kids next time.
