Small friendly hotel with excellent staff.
Pros:

Excellent location very close to Plymouth Hoe.
Small very friendly hotel with excellent staff.
The cooked breakfast of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was my go to start to the day.
Well cleaned bedroom.

Cons:

One suggestion - put up a note in Reception
HAVE YOU RETURNED YOUR ROOM KEY ?
Reception was not staffed when I left and forgot.
It’s a solid metal security key so I phoned to apologise and posted it back.

Pros:

Staff were friendly and the room was very clean

Cons:

The room was nothing like picture/smaller and old furniture and decor. Had no stairs but would have got over that if the room and bathroom were nicer.. Breakfast room was lovely and the continental offering was nice but breakfast not great..

Lovely Hotel and Breakfast, Shame About the Parking and Bar Options 🍻
Pros:

Stayed at the Invicta Hotel recently.

Nice hotel in a great location with friendly staff and a really tasty breakfast 👌 The room was comfortable and overall it was an enjoyable stay.

Cons:

A couple of things to be aware of though, parking is very limited and needs to be pre booked, which was not made particularly clear during the booking process. Unfortunately I ended up paying around £20 for on street parking nearby.

Also slightly disappointing that the bar had no draught beers available during my stay.

All of the staff we encountered were superb, but the accommodation did leave a bit to be desired
Pros:

Location excellent for what we wanted. Breakfast very good. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Being able to leave the car for the whole length of our stay was well worth it.

Cons:

Shower. Water flow was very slow. Toilet flush needed attention. Thought TV on wall too high. Rickety wardrobe. Window mechanism seemed partially jammed. Loud noise when closing door when leaving room as no handle to pull door shut. Although we knew we would be on the 3rd floor the 50+ steps were quite a climb especially carrying a case

Super comfy and friendly
Pros:

The bed and pillows are super comfy and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful

Cons:

There's not much to dislike. If you want ultra modern or boutique then this isn't the place for you. However, the areas needing a Little TLC are limited and age related. I feel it adds to the charm and inkeeping with the age of the property. I love it and its my go to when visiting my son at uni.
