Always a great break from Nairobi. Wonderful staff.

Very serene with great views and nice animals/birds around, fairly quiet and peaceful good for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Facilities are a bit outdated and there no mini fridge and iron box in the rooms,

Nice walk inside. Well maintained landscaping. Room is little outdated.

The Aberdare Country Club is for the most part amazing, but with so much potential to be more than it is. The location is great for tourists, but lousy if you're in Nyeri for business as it's a ways out of town. The little villas are quaint, but it would still be nice to have a tv and internet. Meals are good, but repetitive if you're there for more than a couple nights.

Enjoyable stay. Friendly service. Knowledgable tour guide. Delicious food. Accommodating staff.

After a hectic drive from busy Nairobi this place is an absolute haven of beauty and tranquility.... if I lived in Nairobi I would be up there every chance I had. Can't recommend the setting, beautiful lodge building and the genuinely lovely staff any higher! Spoil yourself and book in to Aberdare... you will not be disappointed.

The overall hospitality of the staff in general was quite a low point of our stay...

Our stay was limited to 2 nights, but included full board and lovely accommodation in the chalet style bungalows around the complex. For the very reasonable prices charged for this, the overall comfort and quality was fantastic. Staff were particularly friendly and willing to chat.

First class example of this kind of hotel - an up-country hotel in an idyllic setting and of a standard that does great credit to its operators.

We spent wonderful days in Aberdare. Perfect location, amazing view, clean spacious and beautiful rooms with nice furniture and accurate details, with fireplace to make the atmosphere warmer. Good food, and beautiful restaurant .Especially very kind and helpful staff, always ready to satisfy the client. Everything was perfect. Thank you very much.

Enjoyed our stay. The staff is wonderful and did everything possible to make our time very pleasant. Food was delicious and presentation was beautiful. Rooms were very spacious but could have been a bit cleaner. Overall a very relaxing stay!

Was great spending time at the hotel with my fiancée. Enjoyed walking around the grounds and the peacock did put on a show too, except for its noise:) Will definitely be back again.

We chose the Abardare for purely economic reasons after considering the Mt. Kenya Fairmont Safari Hotel. We traveled to the Mt Kenya Safari for lunch and were even more delighted with our choice after that visit.

The Abardare offers everything one could want except outrageous NY prices and stuffy staff in a beautiful,, natural environment. The spa was a delight, horseback riding safari offered good sightings of giraffe, zebra, warthogs and birds and every staff member was warm, helpful and tons fo fun.

Great hotel and great service. Good facilities. Food and restaurant service poor.
