Excellent location in the heart of the city. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The room was comfortable, with a large bed and plenty of soft, comfortable pillows. The room temperature was perfect throughout our stay, making it very pleasant to relax after a day of sightseeing. Everything was clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily choose Hotel Alcides again on our next visit to Ponta Delgada. Highly recommended!
The only minor thing I would have preferred is a walk-in shower instead of a bathtub, but it wasn't a problem at all and did not affect our stay.
