Il y a trop de gens dans le hall. Et quand y a concert dans la salle de l’extérieur, tout le monde vient dans l’hôtel pour faire des photos, ça devient bruyant, on n’a pas l’impression d’être dans un hôtel classe où il y a du calme et des personnes d’une certaine haute catégorie

Worst experience of my life never ever stay at this hotel

I can genuinely say this has been the worst experience in my lifestyle in this hotel… How on earth? They got their five star rating I have no idea the staff are rude ignorant patronising and racist.
The hotel rooms are not sound proved at all you may as well be sleeping in the road. It’s so noisy. The air-conditioning systems are so outdated that they sound like they’re on even when they’re off and if you’re a light sleeper you’ve got no chance of getting a wink of sleep because it sits inside a motorway
The Manager Jean francis Remi was nowhere to be seen when I requested him and it seems like none of them care and when you have an issue they just want you to go away and get on with it which is absolutely disgusting.
This is a five star hotel I have spent the last three nights without any sleep at all because of the noise levels and I will never return here. It’s absolutely awful awful awful awful.
When you try to explain to reception, what your issues they laugh at you they stare at you they make you feel uncomfortable. What a horrific experience one that I would never recommend.

La réception, le lobby et le service sont vraiment bons. Le personnel est souriant et aux petits soins. La nourriture et les boissons sont globalement satisfaisantes.

Cons:

L'hôtel est clairement trop cher par rapport aux prestations moyennes, notamment en terme de finition des chambres, de propreté générale et d'équipement. Salle de sport inaccessible car en travaux, SPA payant et indigne d'un hôtel 5* (bains à remous ne fonctionnant pas, eau à peine tiède et hammam à peine chaud...). En sus, intoxication alimentaire suite à un repas pris sur place...

Pros:

I will not recommend this hotel.

We were there for a business travel. We booked the hotel based on the images shown on the website only to arrive and see a compete different room. Not only was the room old, but malfunctioning. Tv not working, bad wifi, stains in the bath tub and an A/C that keeps you up at night. The employees at the reception were also rude a very un pleasant stay. For a 5-star rated hotel I was expecting better.

Iconic hotel
Pros:

I really enjoyed my stay at the Ivoire. It is an iconic hotel with great architecture. The very large pool area is very impressive. The Pavillon restaurant serves Ivorian food and is sort of open air - it had a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was quite fairly good, not excellent, though staff were not particularly friendly. The gym was in the basement, small and unappealing, without effective air-con, that is definitely an area for improvement.

My stay had not got off to a good start as upon my arrival at 4.30pm my room (a suite) was not ready. That was the last thing I needed after a long flight from Dubai. I kept badgering the member of staff to get me a room. She was not particularly communicative so I could not tell if she really took my concerns on board. In the end, after 90 minutes I finally got my room. It was spotlessly clean and had an extremely comfortable bed. Housekeeping service was very good. I later found a bottle of red wine, juices, fresh fruit and canapes in my room. The staff also agreed that I could extend my check-out time by an hour given the delay upon checking in. So overall, I was very happy and it was a good service recovery.
