Nice hotel

This was our first trip to this hotel and we had a very good experience. The staff was attentive and cordial, the hotel was clean and the price was right.

We have stayed here many times. The rooms are secure and clean. The breakfast includes an array of delicious food. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends.

The breakfast was great, and the rooms were clean and spacious. However, the pool is an outdoor pool, located in full view of a conference area (which were going on for most of our stay). There is also a "hot" tub, but it is only heated by the sun (during the day), so there really isn't one.

Also, the hotel has plenty of placards stating that they're eco-friendly - to please leave towels on the racks and they won't change them, etc, but despite me leaving them on the racks, they changed them (and the sheets). Then the following day I left a message for housekeeping to NOT change sheets and towels, and they still changed them.

All in all, this is a wonderful hotel a few blocks from a main thoroughfare with plenty of shops and restaurants. Just know that your sheets and towels will be changed regardless of what any sign says.

Cockroaches all over the room. I’ve never experienced anything like that although I’ve stayed in many places all around the world. Cockroach was even on the pillow my daughter slept on.

I stayed at this property when it was The Park Inn by Radisson. It is a very clean, safe hotel. The staff is personable, and I don't recommend walking from downtown after dark.

Now called the D Sabana Hotel. Still looks the same inside when it was Park Radisson. Typical smart looking city hotel. Good facilities with small bar and restaurant area. Bottled beer is top price but expected for the place. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold. Gift shop and tour booking place. Liked the outside pool area but water was mega cold. A little jacuzzi was warmer. Very good medium sized gym too.

Room was nice and big. Quite plain decor but clean and modern. Loved the shower, highly invigorating. My room had good view of town and hills in the background. Location has a number of fast food places nearby plus a few restaurants. Could do with a nearby bar or cocktail venue. About 35 minute walk to the main town area.

Staff were helpful and pleasant.

City Hotel, easy check in, friendly staff, usual increased price for bottled beers, but this was expected, clean rooms, excellent buffet style breakfast, small swimming pool on third floor, all in all a happy experience, would stay there again if visiting.

This hotel was our first stop in Costa Rica after landing, and was perfect after a long flight. We had a clean, spacious room (two double beds for two people) and big bathroom with amenities provided. The bed was really comfortable and the room had a nice view over San Jose. We didn't use many of the hotel amenities downstairs but we did order room service and the food was very good quality. The hotel was doing some renovation work but we were never disrupted by this. Overall a really good stay.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Park Inn, now rebranded as D Sabano. We had room 1107 which was clean, very spacious & had a walk in shower plus a view to the distant mountains.
The pool area was small but looked nice,unfortunately we didn't get time to use it.
Breakfast was good with a fair selection.
You can walk into town from the hotel , they will provide you with a map. We had intended to walk in on our last afternoon but the traffic was gridlocked & we didn't get back to the hotel in time after our trip to Poas. I wouldn't walk in after dark.
Only niggle was our key card failed a couple of times necessitating a trip down to reception.

The Park Inn is a comfortable but not glamorous base for your arrival in Costa Rica. Breakfast is OK and there is a bar which was welcomed after a long flight. Rooms were clean and comfortable. There are restaurants nearby if required. We used the Argentinian steakhouse which is less that 10 mins away which was good. There is not a lot else in the area but the hotel is a decent base to start or end your Costa Rican tour.

Hotel is excellent with friendly service from all staff members. On-site restaurant is a good alternative to eating out. Food quality was acceptable.

Room 1102. Serviced by two lifts. Lovely view of City and mountains. Spacious and light room with super king sized bed. Sliding door to large bathroom with walk in rain shower. Safe in room. Sufficient storage space for our stay. Bar closed at 11. Reception small but friendly. Air con not overly effective. Breakfast was basic but acceptable. Housekeeping ok. Mini Bar and fridge. Lunch /Dinner in restaurant is very tasty and good size portions. Stayed for 2 nights. Subsequently we stayed here for one night in Room 414. Not decorated as recently as previous room.
