Hotel is under new management and currently under renovation which is not disclosed to guests at booking - far cry from a 5* boutique hotel as advertised

Enjoyed our Spa Treatments
Pros:

We enjoyed our Spa Treatment very much. However, we weren't offered anything to drink on arrival compared to other Spa places but this is not a negative just prefence.
The payment method left us confused including the restaurant waiter. We had the Majeka Magical Spa treatment. But we had to pay at the Spa and again at the restaurant that included the healthy lunch. However, the waiter brought the bill asking just for a signature stating we already paid for the package after our lunch.
We corrected the waiter and said that the Spa mentioned we pay for the food here. This was not to much trouble but perhaps lack of communication and understanding.
Overall, we with happy with the treatments.

A small bot of paradise on earth
Pros:

Little paradise on earth. We had our own Pool. Rooms were wonderful. Staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Breakfast was perfect.
We had a late night flight back to europe and We were able to make use of one room including Pool until We needed to leave at no extra charge.

Cons:

Nothing what so ever. Except I dont understans their current rating. Shplould be a 9+!

Wird dem Preis nicht mehr gerecht
Cons:

Das Majeka hat seine besten Tage erlebt. Einige Ausstattungen sind nur noch teilweise in Funktion und der Pool war ohne Information unter Bauarbeiten und nicht nutzbar. Man möchte mehr sein als man ist. Wir waren vor 1 Jahr hier, da war es wesentlich besser und dem Preis eher gerecht.

Disappointing - high price for a mediocre establishment
Pros:

Breakfast was good
Lovely lounge area

Cons:

First room - the tv sound did not work properly so we had to move rooms as we wanted to watch an important rugby game
In the second room the aircon only worked in the entrance and the rest of the room was still hot even when we set it t 15 degrees
The gardens were sadly neglected - grass not cut - plants left with dead stalks and flowers etc
The whole place needs a deep clean

Don’t be so harsh, we loved it here
Pros:

I think some travellers have been rather harsh in their reviews of Majeka house. We very much enjoyed our stay here.

The hotel is in a quiet residential area and yes you do need a taxi or uber to go to restaurants but they cost next to nothing and are very reliable.

The staff are absolutely lovely and all welcome you with a smile and a desire to help and make your stay a happy one.

Breakfast service was very good as was the food. We only stayed 2 nights and ate in on the first and enjoyed what we had, yes the menu is limited, but to quote Gordon Ramsey offer less but do it well.

We didn’t try the pool or spa but the areas looked clean and tidy as did the garden and sun beds which were all laid out daily with fresh towels.

Our room was clean and comfortable with a good sized bathroom where everything worked as it should.

There is always room for improvement and our suggestions would be -

Change the doors to the bedrooms, the present ones look old and tired and don’t create a good impression.

Improve the lighting in the bedrooms, there’s mood lighting and there’s struggling to read stuff lighting.

Get some air fresheners in the lounge/ bar area, it smelt rather musty in there and that’s not very welcoming.

Some of the curtains in the bedroom needed repairing, again not a major thing but just something that will make the place tidier.

We would certainly stay here again.

We hebben tijdens ons verblijf gebruik gemaakt van de massage salon. Deze was geweldig. Personeel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam.. Kamer was ruim, ontbijt goed.

Cons:

Majeka ligt wat verder van het centrum. Dat is jammer als je even wilt shoppen of naar een restaurant wilt. Een uber is dan wel aan te raden, aangezien het erg druk is met parkeren in het centrum.

Pros:

I cannot recommend this place. Rooms and common areas are very tired and in need of renovation. Staff basically lied to us saying dinner was available at 7pm then later told us that they let the chef go for the evening? Really? Just tell us your restaurant isn't open rather lie to us. Avoid this place.

Absolutely felt spoilt from start to finish! Venue is luxurious, room with private pool is amazing f
Pros:

Our booking from your website did not pull through to the venue by the time we arrived, however the Manager was absolutely amazing in sorting us out and he was extremely kind and engaging.

Cons:

Nothing, the venue is absolutely amazing. Loved every minute.
