Grand hotel with great dining
Pros:

Grand style hotel, with fabulous food. Personal and friendly welcome by guest manager.

Pros:

We really liked the vintage vibe of the place, everywhere was clean, the stuff is nice and helpful. And of course the location - totally worth it.
We really regret not enjoying spa and 2 swimming pools, because we didn’t know about them in advance.
We also received a small present on International women’s day, it was so nice of the hotel.

Cons:

Hair dryers are quite weak, we asked for additional one and it was provided.

My go to hotel in Almaty, great staff and perfect location
Pros:

Really great location, super nice staff and the spa is a huge bonus. Location is perfect for central Almaty

Cons:

The breakfast could be better, sometimes the rooms are a bit old but on balance its details

A stylish hotel in a very convenient location for walking.
Excellent breakfasts.
Everything is very clean, and the room has everything I need.

Cons:

There were only two issues, which were unexpected for a hotel of this standard. First, the bed was quite old; it creaked loudly when I tossed and turned in my sleep, waking me up.
The other issue was that the hot water in the shower kept running out. This was very inconvenient, and it made me late for an important meeting.
(The third issue, perhaps less significant, was that there was no kettle in the room by default. I had to go to the hotel restaurant to get one; they also provided cups there).

Hotel needs a makeover. It’s very dated, smells of tobacco everywhere, WiFi average, tv channels never work and don’t get resolved

Grand Tien Shan Boutique Hotel Review
Pros:

Central location - lots of restaurants and attractions within walking disrance. Plenty of hot water, good heating. Reasonably good breakfast buffet.

Cons:

Luke-warm staff - not that welcoming or friendly. Beds were'nt that comfortable. Room key cards had to be reactivated every couple of days. Toaster only worked partially in 2 of the slots. Some of the power sockets in the bedroom didn't work. Would have preferred a bidet hose rather than an old fashioned full bidet. Peculiar hotel layout - lots of seating areas with tables and chairs on each floor. Dimly lit areas in tbe evening.

Pros:

I am a frequent guest at this hotel, and I was here for a few very stressful business days. The spa center was a wonderful escape and a real source of renewed energy. A special thanks to Lina for her amazing hands – the back massage after my flight was absolutely wonderful.
Also, thank you for the extra hour for the late checkout – it was a very nice touch. I truly appreciate the flexibility and look forward to my next stay

Cons:

It's difficult to find any faults. Just a small piece of advice: it might be worth looking into the issue with the magnetic keys, as they have a habit of demagnetizing.
